Sorry for t-boning you Dark. I hit the brakes but they locked up and I still hit you.  Don't sweat it at all. I came to a stop perpendicular to the chicane exit right in the middle of the track so nothing you could have done. Everything that could have gone wrong last night DID go wrong but that is racing. This is just not my season in V8's. Bleh! Cheers! |

My apologies to Tony Diamond. I did not see you when I pinched you into the car coming back onto the track, think it was lap 18. You had a great run and am sorry I couldn't get out of you guys way fast enough.

Excellent turnout last Wednesday - 23 cars ties our record. This was a tough race track with basically one racing line, so things get a bit hairy when trying to make a pass. Ran a good, clean Race 1. Ran mid 1:36's every lap. Didn't have Stinky type pace, but solid for me. Had Smokey right behind me the entire race. Race 2 started off about the same. Stinky pulled away early, but I was slowly (very slowly I might add) starting to reel him in. Dude never makes a mistake out there dammit. Pulled within about 5 sec off the lead when I hit a land mine at the Turn 1 curb. My car flipped up in the air at least 10 feet and on my roof. The car flipped back over and I totally expected it to be non drivable (seeing as we have dmg set to 75% now). Somehow I limped it back to the pits and had about a 25 sec stop (my crew works fast). Threw a new bumper on and away I went. Came out in 6th with about 8 laps to go. Somehow caught up to the group of 4 cars battling for 2nd (Tony, Helios, Boza and Rich). That last 3 laps has to be the most crazy battle I've ever had in sim racing. Positions swapped multiple times, bumping and pushing. I don't even know if my highlights will be able to do it justice. I do feel bad as I nudged Helios in the first chicane which got him loose. I backed off a bit to let his car settle down, but Boza saw the opening coming up the hill and went for it. Unfortunately they collided and it sent Boza off in the grass. Then it came down to a 3 way battle for 2nd. I have watched the replay a couple times and it was an all out brawl, but in my opinion a good, hard, somewhat clean kind of way.  |

No protest from me. Tense fight, I could taste my first podium since season 1...and pushed a little too hard to minimize time loss after the nudge. Got sideways, back across the track where Boza t-boned me square in the passenger door (he had nowhere to go), almost rolling the car. If I didn't try the cutover in the chicane, I may have had a better run to the double apex right-hander.
Intense race, I'll have to settle with 4th. Still my best finish in a long long time.

No protest from me either, that was a fun race!!! Btw Helios I can't believe u pulled of that pass on me, not once but twice in the same spot!! |

That was "MY" corner. I got a couple other guys there too. I don't know why, but I really had a shot coming off the kink, and was able to break deep and still keep the car hugging the inside curb.

Ok fellas, battling through the flu, but still able to get the highlights done. The first race was fairly uneventful, but Race 2 was a wild ride. I also tried something a little different for the 2nd race. Let me know what you think. If you only have time to watch one of them, I highly recommend Race 13. Enjoy. I (leadsled) had a blast racing but my appologies for sitting in the middle of the track as long as i did in the second race. My machine decided it neded to go to the desktop and thats what caused the crash. By the time I got it back up I found myself just sitting there. I knew it was a big hit because I heard it but the car bouced back on track in the worst spot. Im glad everyone missed me!
