Good one man. Winning over there is an accomplishment.
I once found myself in the lead of a race... then dumped it into the sand in shock after a couple of corners!

Good one man. Winning over there is an accomplishment. I once found myself in the lead of a race... then dumped it into the sand in shock after a couple of corners! I really like the Class B Nascar Nationwide Fixed Set Up Series, both because of the car and tracks, but also because of the quality of racers and the strategy that comes with dealing with cautions. On Sunday, after I acquired my Class B license, I practiced a few laps at Kentucky, but then signed up for a race. I ended up finishing 15th out of a 20+ racer field. I also had two 5th place finishes, and one 8th place finish last week in the Class C Nascar Truck Fixed Set Up Series. Those finishes were due, at least in part, to my strategy in handling cautions and just generally avoiding wrecks. Avoiding wrecks is a huge part of iRacing!!!

Avoiding wrecks is a huge part of iRacing!!! Also, and I only recently started doing this, relaxing when it comes to safety rating. Sure getting a 4x for contact sucks but when SR is based on corners-per-incident you're still going to come out OK finishing the race cleanly. I ragequit a Mustang Cup race this week after a first lap trip into the barriers and took a hammering on SR.

I ragequit a Mustang Cup race this week after a first lap trip into the barriers and took a hammering on SR. Funny you mention that, I got rammed in a Class C truck race early in the day on Sunday, and took a .05 or so hit to my SR, putting me further away from my goal of hitting 4.0 and fastracking to Class B. Later in the day, I got my act together and tried another Class C truck race. I was very cautious in the race, but I got put in the middle of the pack on the inside after a caution was called. Some dumbshit followed me too closely and hit me, but it was only 0x. I almost rage quit at that point, but I hung in there and ultimately finished with no other incidents or contact. That resulted in a .53 bump to my SR and promotion to Class B.

I spend most of my time doing ovals, particularly the Carburetor Cup, Class C Fixed Trucks, and the Class B Nationwide. I am totally hooked. I expect to get my A licenses on April 30. Woohoo...Sprint Cup here I come!!!!
