Just curious as to what series the other iRacers plan to run during Season 2. Although I have several trials during the next three months that will curtail my sim racing opportunities, I am contemplating doing the following series: 1) Nascar Nationwide Ovals, Class B Fixed (my favorite iRacing series, without exception) 2) Cadillac Road Course Series, Rookie Fixed (contemplating, have not tried car yet) 3) Nascar Truck Ovals, Class C Fixed (I love the trucks, cannot get away from them) 4) Indycar Dallara Ovals, Class D Fixed (tried this car at Michigan, absolutely love it, new for me) 5) Mustang Challenge, Class D Fixed (on fence about this one, just completed series in Season 1) Thoughts?

1) V8 Supercars, Class C (c'mon, Supercars rule!) 2) Star Mazda, Class C (my favourite car right now) 3) The new larger tracked oval rookie class (I'm going to see if I can Fast Track to A as a personal challenge) 4) I may join you in Indycar Ovals when I get promoted.

I ran some laps in the Cadillac last night. My impression was that it's similar to the Supercar and I notice on the iR forums that people have been racing them together and they finish quite close. I need to drive it more though... it's got NTM and the V8 is OTM.
Also, they've tweaked the torque curve for the V8s. They feel a lot better. Still less grippy than rFactor's V8s though.

I need to download the newest build. Thats great if they made the v8's a little easier to drive. I feel like I slide everywhere in that car.
How's the new shaders look?

I only have Motegi as a reference and since it's a new track I don't have "old" to compare it to. I can report that Motegi looks less sterile than past tracks. It's hard to put my finger on it but pre-update tracks always look clean... Motegi feels like a track that's been used if you know what I mean.
Also, I read today that iRacing is getting Zolder soon and more importantly for us V8 fans, Oran Park in the fall

I got my A SR in both road and ovals today, but won't be able to enjoy them until this weekend at the earliest. I am in a hotel for a trial through Friday.

Nice one, Craig. In some ways, I'm not looking forward to that progression to A oval, but I've set it as a challenge to myself I jumped into a couple of W13 Dallara oval races... the drivers were well behaved for the most part.

I did it primarily by doing the Nascar truck (C) and nationwide (B) races. They are a blast. I wonder how I will do in the Sprint cup races? They look to be quite long. 70 laps of Talladega? Ouch...

so heres my question? is it worth the 100 bucks a year to buy? Yes, particularly if you like NASCAR. Best NASCAR sim racing out there. Graphics and physics are also virtually perfect.

so heres my question? is it worth the 100 bucks a year to buy? For me? Totally. Although with all the racing at GBR it has made it harder to justify the cost. It's all relative though, I know people that spend far more in a year just going to movies (or in a month on smokes and booze!). I spend $0 a year on movies. For the cost of two lattes a month I'm racing. That works for me.

I'm planning to get into iRacing later this year. My truck will be paid off next month so that will be some more spendable income. Just want to get one more credit card paid off, then I can buy a new computer and triple screen setup. I heard from another friend of mine that iRacing usually has a half-off deal on black Friday so that is when he renews his membership. Hopefully I will be ready by then.
