It took me about four months to advance from rookie to A.

I heard from another friend of mine that iRacing usually has a half-off deal on black Friday so that is when he renews his membership. Hopefully I will be ready by then. iR tends to also have good deals on Father's Day and the 4th of July too. I've never renewed at full price ya the V8s in iRacing are alot different to rFactor Very, very different. Much looser at the rear and harder to get the power down. Then when the tires fall off it's sudden and brutal. However, on Tuesday we finally get the New Tire Model (Shane Van Gisburgen was testing and helping develop it over the last month or so) which is going to shake things up. but i was getting used to it i think id like it better running triples but ive only got 46 t iR has the best triple-monitor setup of any sim. You set your monitor dimensions, distance and angles and then you get the correct view. rFactor is hard-coded for a 45 degree angle on the side monitors.

Some of those guys from the V8SC Americas series like Madison, Curtis and Ray are aliens. I have no idea how they get that speed. Then there are the regulars from the V8SC Aussie races From what I've read, with the OTM, you really have to slide these cars around to get speed. I can't drive like that... hopefully NTM aligns better with my skills.

Yeah, I was going to host a race session over there for us but scheduling that is challenging We should bomb around Lime Rock or something in the MX-5s or Star Mazdas just for fun some night.

Nice comparison of Infineon in real life vs. iRacing. While we have some nice reproductions of tracks in rFactor the one available for rFactor barely seems like the same track.

Hell yes. Hopefully the last bolded update gives some rubbin' allowance. Collisions were way too touchy before for the style of this series.
--------
Ford Falcon V8 Supercar
We have taken the time to overhaul this car with the New Tire Model, and to bring many parts of it's modelling up to latest techniques. The results have been good enough that even real drivers Shane Van Gisbergen and Scott McLaughlin, who have been providing us with a lot of vital testing and tuning feedback, are very happy with the car now, and so we wanted to bring it to you early instead of waiting another couple of months for Season 3.
- Updated to use the New Tire Model.
- Suspension modelling has been improved. Especially improved is how the whole rear axle behaves. This may also have been the source of the occasional launch into the sky bug. The front suspension can now have it's roll center height adjusted.
- Reworked aerodynamics with our latest aero techniques and with latest data.
- Rear wing is now adjustable.
- Changed most setup items to default to metric sizes, including springs and bars.
- Alterations to the anti-roll bar stiffnesses and motion ratios. Also more rear size options are available.
- Cleaned up unnecessary stuff from the garage, such as antiroll bar arm length adjustment.
- Limit steering ratio to 10:1 minimum.
- Engine torque and efficiency revisions.
- Reduced drafting strength and length.
- Improved collision definitions for better 4x behavior.
- Updated iRacing setups.
