I bit the bullet and did a InRacing News Challenge race soley for SR. Started frm pits and 25 laps of following behind slower drivers. They'd go off and I'd pass, only to see them barreling down on me so I'd let them right back up. Anyway...it got me .22 SR and -65 iR lol

Question: I raised my sr 100 points this evening finishing 3 races in the top 4 incident free! But iam still stuck in D class? The MPR states 4 races or time trials in your class or above, but every series after rookie involves 6+ pieces of purchased content? Is there a way around this or are my only 2 options pay to play or just race in rookie series?

anyone ever have a race not counted for MPR when they think it should have? Earlier this week I did a Mustang at Laguna race which I believe is D class and should count for my MPR requirements. But the race did not seem to get counted when I now look at what MPR is remaining to get out of D class Sadly this was likely my best race so far in iRacing, finished 2nd after being in lead for half the race

Were there enough people in the race for it to be counted as official?

You raised your SR 100 points? You mean 1.00 I think
If you are D class, then racing in rookie races won't meet the MPR requirements if I understand things correctly.
Cheers!

Were there enough people in the race for it to be counted as official? ahh... this may be the problem then. Can't recall but there was not a lot of other cars, hence my 2nd place likely

I am doing time trials in the Skippy at Summit point this week since I had the car. The next three tracks need purchasing so I may jump into the SRF but then need tracks the following week. I think I'll be picking up some tracks just because I can't go much further without, even with the free tracks I got from the Caddy promotion. They definitely have it designed to extract your funds.

yes 1.00 sorry, dont have the skippy.....just mclearen, v8 and national.....but all need at least 6+ tracks to run......I already spent $72 this month 1 month plus renewed a 3 month membership and 3 cars. I currently cant justify spending anymore this month just to up my license...... higher license=more races=more content=more$$$$ my original plan was to purchase over time to spread out the cost, but it seems they have it designed that you have to by in after rookie to continue your racing career. Smart but unfortunate with a new baby and a wifey on mat leave i gotta watch my $$$ for a while

I hear you on that. I'm in the same boat with the house and my wife's car needs replacing. I am really trying to stretch my enjoyment with what I already have.

Yup priorties first.....i am pretty sure i read in the recent build release that if you entered a multi car race and didnt have the other cars you could go to the downloads and get the other car without purchase......and that you just need the track.....has this been implemented yet? if so how do i do this? they said there would a seperate section in the downloads for this content, but i only see purchases

Does or has anyone here taken advantage of the "Ghost Racing" feature of iRacing? Here is some documentation on it. Seems like this would be a good primer for running in the crowds without your SR taking a hit. Cheers!

I ran several laps with the regular drivers to get a feel for it.
