I did two Spec Racer Fors events with opposite results. First race was good. Q12 and finished 5th starting from the grid. 1 incident so that was great.
Second race I had an asshat try to hit me on purpose to protect his position. Rather than take the contact SR hit I opted to go off track. Later in the race I had another guy come across on me and again it was off track to save the contact SR. I did spin which brought things to a halt. I finished in 14th but with positive SR so it was ok I guess.
I watched replay from the first race and by watching the leader I was able to adjust my lines a bit in practice and shaved another second off my time. So between Helios' outstanding tune and some adjusted line I netted a big time saving.
Cheers!

Tried getting a Prototype/GT race in both Saturday and Sunday. Unfortunately there wasn't enough people to get an official race started either time. So now I'm 2 weeks in...and haven't run a single race to qualify for credits in B class. Wow, really? What time are you trying to race that series? I was on all day Yesterday and they split each time.

The 4 hours between races makes it kinda hard to find one that fits my schedule.

After dumping some money into Iracing to get some GT cars and a few extra tracks, I really am starting to dig the Vette. My wife and kids were out Saturday, so did some practice and tuning on it around Suzuka. My goal was to get my B license. I ran 5 races in a matter of a day (I hadn't run an official Iracing race in well over a year) and got my B class license. Need them to go on another day trip soon so I can work on my A license next.

did you race for position or just make sure all ended well hawks? They didn't all end well. I was trailing the leader by about 5 sec and closed to within 1.5 with about 3 laps to go. His tires were getting slick and we were working through the slower McLaren traffic. Had a perfect race going 20 laps in. Come upon a McLaren and he moved to the right. As I was side by side he decides to race me I guess (I was lapping him mind you) and he squeezed me into the wall and around I went. Frustrating to say the least. It was funny, the Corvette leader and eventual winner I was trying to chase down starting swearing at the McLaren driver for taking me out. I try to run clean laps, but if I have the opportunity I try not to hesitate and just go for it. That's what racing is all about in my opinion. Love that adrenaline rush.

What is it with these F'ing morons that feel the need to battle for position when they are a lap down? FAK!
Had a great racing going at Mid Ohio in the Caddy, qualified 2nd, running strong in 2nd, 3 laps to go we are lapping 4th and 3rd. Guy is fighting me for position so I figure I'll back off and let him go.. noooo... he comes across and pow. I have huge wheel damage but finish the race anyway. -.17 SR... GRRRRRR.
Frick and Frak and everything in between!

Frick and Frak and everything in between! Yup, sounds like my Cadillac Cup. You gotta watch out for the lappers because they are typically rookies who have nothing to lose. They will take you out. I generally just wait for them to screw up and then I pass. Sorry that he ruined your SR. That sucks.
