After getting punted a few times yesterday and losing about .30 SR because of it, I ran a couple clean races. Rather than risk getting punted again in the multiclass event, I did a couple time trials to get over the hump. MISSION ACCOMPLISHED! I can now go back to having fun racing! Attachments:

Welcome to the A license club Hawks! So, when do you plan to get your oval A license as well??? I'm content with road for now, but I'm sure I'll get a hair at some point and go for oval as well.

Craziness. I did a Class C fixed truck race this afternoon. It was crazy. Lots of testosterone. Couple guys got taken out early and so the brawl was on. I escaped incident-free and got 3rd out of 20 trucks. Sent from my HTC One X using proboards

I finished strong yesterday. I completed a total of seven official series races (4 Class C Fixed trucks, 3 Cadillac Cup), and went incident-free in six of them, without doing anything extraordinary. I got a 1x in a Cadillac Cup race because I had to drive off the track to avoid a wreck ahead of me. So, after getting 17 incident points in the GT Challenge race on Saturday night, I was able to rebound yesterday. The nice thing is that along with the lack of incidents, I got four top 5 finishes, which helped the road and oval iRatings.

Since I was gone all last week, I only had last night and this morning to get a few races in to count for the current week in the schedule. I decided to concentrate on the IndyCar oval series since that is the one I'm doing the best in (3rd in my division). I was able to get 3 races in. 1st one was a major wreck fest. We didn't even get to the start line after the pace lap before someone spun out and took someone else with him. There were many more cautions and wrecks. I was doing my best to avoid them and still staying in the top 10. Late in the race, 2 guys got together right in front of me and I couldn't avoid them, so that race was over.
2nd race started better going 24 laps until the 1st caution. I avoided the wrecks until late in the race when another wreck happened right in front of me that I couldn't avoid. I called the tow truck, because I thought my car was damaged. While waiting for the tow countdown, I lost 2 laps. Then it turned out my car wasn't damaged after all. I managed to finish, but 2 laps down and 19th.
3rd race wasn't great, but I survived until the end. I had a small bump with another car about halfway through the race. My car was still drivable and tracked straight, but there must have been aero damage because I couldn't maintain the pace even with the draft. I was able to stay on the lead lap though and picked up places by attrition. Ended up finishing 7th which gave me 97 championship points.
After the IndyCar races, I still had a little time so I decided to do a Mazda cup race. I didn't qualify, but neither did most of the field, so I was gridded in 4th. I knew the guys behind me were faster, so I decided to start from the pits. It paid off as there was plenty of accidents early on and rubbin ain't racin in those cars, it's just a recipe for disaster. So with attrition, I found myself in 5th and closing on 4th. He noticed that I was faster and offered to let me by if I got close enough. I was able to make the clean pass with a little help from him and we both went on to finish. I will take a 4th in those cars any day. They are really fun to drive especially if you have a good setup. After the race, the winner shared his setup with everyone so I have something to work with for the next races.
My final race of the week was today in the GT Challenge right before work. There were only 4 Corvettes and I was gridded 3rd. I pushed a little too hard on the first lap and spun it and had to let most of the McLarens by before I could get back on the track cleanly. Then I was slowly working my way through the McLarens and made a nice clean pass on someone which I guess he didn't like because he punted me off the track at the next corner. So I got back on and had to work through more McLarens and even a few Ford GTs. I stayed clean for the rest of the race. One of the Corvettes had a bad accident and left the race early. The lead Corvette lapped me and was working his way through the McLarens when one of them took him out. He pitted and came back on track, but was 2 laps down. He passed me again, but there wasn't enough time left for him to get another lap, so I finished 2nd of the 4 Corvettes and 5th overall which puts me in 11th place in my division.

Finally got a GTC race in at 10pm last night...after 3 or 4 failed attempts due to server outages this weekend. As such, I never did get to run the V8SC race Zandvoort like I was hoping. And I've tried reinstalling iRacing twice now, trying to get it to recognize the wheel. Still no go, so I still have no FFB, no LCD functionality, just resistance and button mappings. As an added bonus, I also noticed my keyboard doesn't work for the control mappings either, at least any of the Fx buttons that pertain the the black boxes. Every other sim works fine...just this one. As a whole, it's starting to piss me off. I'm already at the point that I don't like spending any more time in it than I have to. Just enough to make the races I need to earn the credits at season end.....and building the tunes for the GBR events.

Helios, it sounds to me like a driver issue. Have you tried deleting your current Fanatec driver and re-installing the newest one available at 911wheel.com?

Problem is, it's not just the wheel. I'm losing keyboard functions as well.....
Besides, I don't have any "beta" drivers or firmware installed. Straight out of the box.

Yeah, that is very strange. I am not thinking of the firmware, I don't see how that could be the cause, but I do think its worth it to delete the current driver from your PC and re-install it, or the newest one, to see if that addresses the FFB issues. You also should check the driver settings to make sure that the FFB is set to 100 in the driver.
Fanatec's drivers leave a lot to be desired, at least compared to the T500's, which are rarely updated. I think that is why Fanatec is always coming out with a new "beta" version.

But Wheel and Keyboard...Could that be USB drivers? Might be worth trying to reinstall your MoBo's drivers assuming your Keyboard is connected by USB of course.
