I ran 15-20 laps yesterday. This track is a lot easier with an F1 car, I have ran it several times in F1 2011 and/or F1 2012. Under two minutes is looking tough.

It is looking very sketchy that I will be home in time to run the race tonight. If I don't make it, have a great race!

Fingers are crossed that you can make it Kelly.
Sub 2:00 laps should be doable. I ran a half dozen laps last night after installing drivers for my wheel. I was down in the 2:01s after 3 or 4 laps. Getting down to the 1:55s however is a whole 'nother ball game.

The best I can get is 57's - 58's on average. Barely got into the 56's once, but I don't see it happening in the race. Tires will go quick in this one as the car is sliding about 50% of the time. Should be fun.
It's the last V8 race of the season. Hope to see a big turnout!

My only goal is to finish without wrecking my car. Haven't had hardly any practice. Was able to get a few minutes in before work to learn the track. I should be home early enough to get 30 minutes practice before qualifying starts.

I'm sorry Helios I shared my tune with Boza and he ran with it! It wasn't my fault he threatened me with some sort of unrealistic or unorthodox torture or something.

Good evening GBR drivers. The final event is upon us for the season 5, V8 Supercars Championship. While Stinky has already been crowned his 2nd consecutive V8SC Championship title, there are plenty of positions up for grabs. Could we see an upset forthcoming? Could one of the new comers surprise the field?
Tonight's event is at Albert Park, the home of the F1 Melbourne Grand Prix. This track has lot of twists and turns, but is very flat. These V8 beasts will be power sliding through corners and quickly eating up tires. The track is very wide and will provide plenty of passing opportunities and side by side racing. Should be fun.
Qualifying will begin at 7:15 PM PST sharp, so please be on no later than 7:00. This will hopefully prevent any delays due to technical issues. The Gone Broke Racing race server is up and running. Please test it out and let me know ASAP if you experience any connection issues. If we have any problem, we may need to switch over to F1's server, but for now I think we should be ok. Also, remember to be on Team Speak and be ready to mute your mic in case we are getting feedback (seems this issue has increased of late).
Race 1 will be a 7 lap sprint. Race 2 will be 18 laps with one mandatory, 4 tire change pit stop. Hope everyone can make it and let's try to finish off the season with a new V8SC attendance record. Our current record is 23. See you at the track in about T minus 2 hrs 30 min. Good luck.

Thank you everyone for your patience with servers. And I apologize that the grid for Race 2 wasn't right. I'm a little frazzled today and I was making small errors. As far as the servers themselves, Hawk's was having issues which will need looking into. Switching to mine is always an option but I had to quickly tune it to handle that many cars. That was a first for me on that server. I don't have rF1 setup on my powerful server... it's on a free trial and less powerful server. I think once we got it rolling it was stable for almost everyone. The hardware will be ready for big fields when the next season of V8SC kicks off! My races: I was pleased to podium twice but my head just wasn't in it (busy week at work, I'm preping for meetings every night at home) and I was more interesting in holding gaps than I was fighting for position. Like Jason said, this has been a great season. Lots of competition up and down the field and we've added some great new people to the series in recent weeks. Next season will be the biggest and baddest yet!

Despite doing very badly... I had a lot of fun. I should have joined in a lot more often and plan to in the future. The cars feel much better with the T500RS than they did with the PWTS and much more enjoyable to drive. I think I'll do better next time around. Also sorry to anyone I was in the way of while limping around the track.
