Just want to say thanks again for everyone that turned out. Great to see lots of new faces tonight. We tied our GBR attendance record for the third time with 23 cars on the grid. Congrats to Smokey on his victory in the first race and huge props goes to Stinky (aka Jeff Hooper) on dominating this season and embarrassing the rest of us! 14 victories out of 18 races is absolutely amazing! We will take a bit of a break from the V8's, but not to worry we will be back better than ever, but likely with a few twists. There is still TONS of racing going on almost every day at GBR, so never fear! We will likely have an exhibition event or two before we start season 6 as well. I also want to thank Dale for coming to the rescue tonight and allowing us to use his server as a backup. I'm still scratching my head as I'm getting a solid 40 mbps down and 18-20 mbps up, so there is no reason we should be having these connection issues. I'll do my best to sort it out. Because of the "techy" issues, I don't have a qualy overlay video to post, but here are the results of the final event of Season 5. See ya next season!! As far as the season itself went I think I achieved my goal. After a 5th overall in Season 4 I set a goal of Top-3 this season and I got it. I changed manufacturers for this season just to get my head into a fresh start mode (even though all the cars are the same) and put a lot of time into pre-season tuning. I spent 2-3 hours setting my car up this season before we ever took to the grid. It took a little fine-tuning then I hit the front at Vanport with a double win. Problems with my PC got me a 0-point DNF at Winton. If I'd placed in that race I'd have given Hawks more of a run for the runner-up placing, I think. Congrats to Jeff for a dominant season again. I've ridden along with him so many times trying to find his secret and really, he's just super-smooth and alien-like consistent. You earned it, man!

im opposite I was gunning for 2nd in my 1st full season started well then had a rough patch, then had some issues getting used to CSW needed a different driving style as im usually a real twitchy racer. but glad to finish in 4th well done Stinky, Hawks & F1 I just hope I can carry some speed into next season and do a lot better.

Congrats 2 time on a dominating season!!! Congrats Smokey on win in the 1st race, I guess you figured out your new wheel...lol. You had a fast pace last night. Also a big thank you to Jason and Dale for the all work with coordinating this series!! I'm happy with a top 5 especially with the tough competion we have with this group of guys!! Next season is going to be even more of a challenge with the new group of guys we have . Last night race I was not expecting to do much being it was my first time using my new wheel, but after a couple of practice laps using Jason's wheel setting I got comfortable with it real quick!! First race had I had Jason chasing me and I barely held on to fourth. 2nd race was intense trying to keep Stinky behind me, but he pulled of a great move going into T1( how do you brake so late bro!!). Sorry Smokey for that incident bud my tires were gone at that point and I just lost it. Last couple laps , I had nice battle with Pat as we were swapping positions back and forth. Like I said next season is going to be tough with the addition of the new guys!!! Can't wait til next season!!!

Thanks guys!! It was an awesome season! I have really enjoyed it. Thanks Hawks for keeping it going and thanks for doing all those videos! Speaking of, I'll be waiting for last nights race...
Boza, that late braking wasn't skill! I was only getting about 70% brake because of ANOTHER bad load cell in my pedals. I was a little late on the brake and I didn't think I was going to make it through there without taking us both out! To be honest, I think I had already closed my eyes!
I'm looking forward to next season! I have a feeling it's going to be a tough one!

Disappointing night for me. Race 1, I got tied up with Lawyer. Rejoined the race around 18th/19th and managed to claw my way back up to 12th by the end. Race 2, I got off to a slow start (uncharacteristic bog) and lost a bunch of spots right off the get go. Settled into a groove and started working my way back up through the field. Had a nice run w/ Tony for several laps, as we were both closing in on the next cars in front of us. We both ended up pitting a bit early to beat the pit road rush (good strategy). Worked my way up to 8th and then I discoed. Was having a good race up until then. See you guys at the next event.

Helios, we didn't get tied up, rather I wasn't paying attention and failed to brake in time. That caused me to rear end you and knock you off the track. 100% my fault. Sent from my HTC One X using proboards

Yeah, turning right is a challenge, as is seeing brake markers. If it helps, Ten Bears returned the favor for you later in the race and knocked me off the track. He waited for me but I waved him past because I had it coming.
