As we prepare for Season 6, I want to throw this question out to you all.
In past seasons, we have ran the same basic format. This typically includes about half of the events (4-5) at actual V8SC venues and the other half at various circuits around the world.
There has been some discussion about possibly running a season using the actual 2013 V8SC schedule. This would include 14 events. If we kept with our bi-weekly format, this would mean the season would last approximately 6-7 months.
In order to gauge the preference of the group, I've put up a poll question. Please vote for one or the other and you are welcome to post your comments in this thread for discussion.

I like the idea of running the V8 schedule!! Just start the season after Apr. 11 cause I'll be back from vacation by then.

I voted for the actual schedule, in the order it's run. I know I don't run it, but I think at this point with the number of participants and the interest in the series, it would be cool to follow the real life series. I'd do it in Spazcar but that like over 30 races..  |

I love the idea of going with the actual V8 schedule. I am doing a similar series for NASCAR Sprint Cup in iRacing and am loving it. I can watch the real life race on TV the same time I am doing it in iRacing.

Work and life seem to have interrupted my V8SC attendance but I voted for the full season as well. It would be fun to mimic the series completely as well and it adds an element of interest of following the real series as well and lets us watch the great race action in HD on the intertube as "research".

I voted for following the 2013 V8 schedule. Looking forward to renewing passport and getting all those travel miles, lol.

Not enough info for me to vote.
1. If we fallow their schedule, dose that mean if they only have one race for the month, that we would only have one race that month? (Their series has already started by the way)

2. Dose it mean we will still run every other week, but just the tracks they are running in there series order?
Because if it's 1, hell no... If it's 2, I can go with that.
EDIT: Never mind, I see where it says By-weekly, missed it. So yes for #1
Even though I will miss the occasional strange track from time to time.

I voted for following the 2013 schedule. Hopefully I can schedule my vacation around Wednesday nights! Ha! One thing I wanted to throw out, we are getting very large fields for the V8 races. I have a feeling that this season is going to be even bigger. So, what about going to a single longer race format? If you are mid pack or further back on the start, there is no way you are going to make many positions in a sprint race with that many cars. At least with a long race you can use pit strategy etc. to move up.
