Yeah, just feel out the sim. Most new drivers will screw up something related to the race start procedure (right Smokey?!?!  ) or the rules (pit speed violation, etc) so it's good to get it out of your system now then when the season starts it's all instinctive. and ya my first race I took off when numbers stopped counting (jammed Hawks up the arse if I remember correctly) plus ive had a coupla jump starts... but my number one thing was/still forgetting to put into gear lol I have no doubt it will still happen from time to time  |

also even if you don't want to use it TC I use it to take off then turn off first chance I get. many of my first races were stuffed up because I refused to use it. but I still refuse to use it for the race just take off I put it on low for take offs then off

I don't think I'm ready for prime time yet. No practice, no strategy worked out, no button box or keyboard mapped, no track knowledge and to top it off...no skills (yet).
I'll try to be there. Lol

Whew! so much info to take in. Thanks again for all the input. I will try to pick a car after tonights fun. I am feeling slightly overwhelmed, but in a good way. The pitstops in Race 07 are much less complicated but hey, its all about the realism/immersion, amirite? |

Once you get a feel for it, pitstops are easier in rF1 than R07.  None of this fumbling around w/ keyboard/buttons while you're in the pit to confirm your settings before the crew does anything. |

Got the mod and track from the first post. I did a lap in the server and had no problems. Do I need anything else ? Maybe I see ya tonight.

It also doesn't help that I spent monday driving around the wrong version of the track. So when I got into the test server that last chicane was much earlier than I anticipated. So I am still trying to get the hang of that last part of the track |
