I was looking at picking up this Asus Monitor unless someone has a better option in a similar price point: www.asus.com/Monitors_Projectors/VS248H/Those monitors are $220/ea CDN at Memory Express. Cheers! Price seems good. I don't know anything about those monitors but Asus generally makes solid gear. I've got nothing but Asus motherboards in the house and my router is Asus. I think 1080p in a 24" for gaming is a good choice. My 24's are 1920x1200 which seemed like a good idea when they were to be desktop monitors but for my sim rig I'm driving 10% more pixels than if I went with 1080p monitors so there's a perfomance hit that comes with that.

That was my thought as well and my gaming rig is just that, a gaming rig. I have my Asus laptop as my primary pc and my old dell that I host the rFactor server on.
I am an Asus whore. If I need a peripheral, I look to them first. I've used their Mainboards for every PC I have ever built.

If you aren't opposed to Dell, take a look there too. They usually have stuff on sale. The last monitors I ordered I got straight through Dell, 2 24" monitors for just under $200 (ea) shipped to my door.

I did check out Dell but ATM they have nothin on sale that fits my needs.
I went ahead and put the three Asys Monitors on hold at Memory Express. When the new owner has placed the rest of the cash in my hand and drives off, then I will pull the trigger.
Then you will get yet another dose of Obutto goodness as I set up the triples!

Monitors purchased and on the way home I made a snap decision to turn a room downstairs into my gaming room. Can't really call it a man cave as my whole house is my man cave. Cheers! aaannnddd.... operation triple screen comes to a grinding halt. Apparently Asus, while providing for VESA mounting, never actually figured you would mount it on a wall. All the ports on the back are 90 degrees to the monitor. Ports Open: Ports Open by KRG-Can, on Flickr Ports Blocked: Ports Blocked by KRG-Can, on Flickr So, need to pay more attention to the monitor configuration.

Cutoff wheel will knock the bottom 1" off those plates and open up the ports.

I opted to just exchange the monitors. I got 3 Asus PA238QR 23" IPS Panels plus 5% discount and a free keyboard for the trouble. Even though the response time is worse, I had them hook up one of the panels to their gaming system and ripped through a portion of a level on BF3 and I saw no issues at all. So I will revisit the triple screen install tonight.
