Not sure I understand why nVidia surround is not letting you set resolution to 5760x1080 Can't be GPU power related, at that point you are just setting your display resolution, nVidia would know nothing about games, etc you will later try to run at that res. Two 560's would be more than enough to power ordinary windows apps over a 5760x1080 resolution. Perhaps issue is related to what display devices you are using or what nVidia software thinks they are? What connectors are you using to the display devices? I am using DVI. I did some googling this morning and my suspicion is that the problem lies with the Dell Ultrasharp monitor, possibly due to it having a native resolution of 1920 X 1200, while the two HDTVs each have a native resolution of 1920 X 1080. Another guy who was trying to do the same thing as me (triple screen, with one Dell Ultrasharp) had the same problem, and like me, he was getting 3840 X 1024. I think I am going to pick up another Insignia 24 inch HDTV and see if that allows me to get 5760 X 1080. Not sure how I am going to explain that one to the Mrs.

I have: Dell 22" 1680 x 1050 - Dell 24" 1920 x 1200 - Dell 22" 1680 x 1050 It runs Surround at 5040 x 1050. The only thing I can think of is the resolutions your HDTV is reporting to the video driver are throwing off nvSurround where a PC monitor would maybe report a wider range of available resolutions. Man, I know if I was sitting there I could sort this out but it's nearly impossible w/o seeing things for myself.

Yeah, you would think that since my Dell monitor can do 1920 X 1080, it would work at that resolution, rather than the current 1280 X 1024 per monitor. We will see how it works with the two 24 inch 1920 X 1080p and one 32 inch 1920 X 1080p HDTVs. All will have the same native resolution and so hopefully they will give me 5760 X 1080.

Operation Triple Screen continues. New 24 inch 1920 X 1080 native resolution HDTV is sitting in the back of my car, wallet is $180 lighter. Broke it to the Mrs., she took it well considering.
I will report back once I have tried using the new TV in place of the Dell monitor.

I know when my wife is all calm when I call and tell her stuff like that, It's because she's setting my stuff on the porch. ;D

I am taking my family out to dinner, hopefully that gets me some brownie points.

I usually sneak my stuff in after everyone is in bed! Was kinda tough to hide the triple screens for long though. "What triple screens honey? Maybe you should get your eyes checked!"

Well no luck guys, I am still getting no better than 3840 X 1024. I tried everything, including using the Sony HDTV as the center, and the two 24 inch Insignias as right and left, and then I tried the Dell monitor in the center, no luck there either. Very frustrated.
I guess I can return the Insignias to Best buy and try a couple of monitors.

Wow, crazy. I suppose on a positive note that PC monitors should in theory have less input lag than a cheap HDTV though that's rarely an issue with driving sims.

I am going to get two Dell monitors, and will return the Insignia HDTVs, I will mix and match and see if I can get something that works, even if I have to use the Dell Ultrasharp as the center.

From what I am seeing on the Invidia forums the only card that will support 3 monitor surround is the 590. Any other card in the 5 series will only support two monitors which would lend some insight as to why you can't get a resolution higher than 3840 across.
Food for thought.
Cheers

My understanding is that because I am running dual 560tis in SLI, that I can do three monitors across. It could be that I am stuck with 3840 across, and if so, I can more than live with that. My plan is to buy two Dell 23 inch monitors, in place of the Insignia HDTVs, and will mix and match those with my Sony HDTV and my current Dell Ultrasharp monitor. If I can get something that works at 5760 X 1080, I will stick with that. Otherwise, one of the Dell monitors will go back and I will get back to sim racing.
