This monitor is an excellent deal. It has HDMI and DVI connections, which is probably enough for most folks. That being said, I have become somewhat of a display snob, since I bought the Dell Ultrasharp in 2008 and have had the luxury of its superior picture quality, 1920 X 1200 resolution, good reliability and breadth of connections (2 DVI, 1 HDMI, 1 DisplayPort, 1 Component, USB, Card Reader, etc.). The Insignia was an experiment for me, to see whether a cheaper display would keep me happy. It did not. I wonder whether the Asus monitors would keep me happy long term, or whether I would yearn for the higher end monitors.

Operation Triple Screen has taken a turn for the better. As many of you may recall, my triple screen set up previously consisted of three different displays, a 24 inch Insignia HDTV on the left, a 32 inch Sony HDTV in the center and a 24 inch Dell Ultrasharp 2408 WFP monitor on the right. Overall, this set up has served me well, but I could clearly see the differences in visual quality between the three displays, with the Dell of course being demonstrably better than the other two screens. Also, I was able to figure out how to get 5760 X 1080 resolution with the three different displays, but it was a hassle. So, over the weekend, I bought a second Dell Ultrasharp 2408 WFP that replaces the Insignia, and I have another on order to replace the Sony HDTV in the center. The goal is to have three identical Dell Ultrasharp 2408 WFP monitors for my set up, and I will set up the Sony HDTV in the corner for TV viewing. I will post updates as I go. I am getting giddy with excitement. UPS says my third Dell Ultrasharp UFP 2408 monitor is "out for delivery". I have another five hours or so until I can head home and set it up.

Thanks Hawks. It's somewhat of a gamble, since all three monitors are used. But, they are well made and so I am hopeful they will last. Sent from my HTC One X using ProBoards

That setup just gets better every time I see it .
I watch TV while racing on the iPad via a Slingbox.

Nice setup Craig, that is a hell of a lot of electronics crammed into that corner. I guess your man cave is more of a man corner.

Anyone want to help me set up my monitors iam having a hell of a time I have 3 dynex 24" 1080 monitors 2 of them are the same model and 1 is last yrs model..1 connected with a hdmi and 2 by dvi on a single GTX 670. First time I configured surround it dropped me to 1340 x 1020 I played with the polarity on the odd tv and switched it to + - and I think it passed I can see 5760 x 1080 but when I test it, it says its not supported? So why is it showing it? The other problem I keep having is when iam in surround a hit configure it tells me its not responding or I can't adjust the bezel correction....iam just confused now lol help!

Did you create a custom resolution on the odd display at 1920 X 1080? If so, and if you got the polarity the same as the other displays, then you should get the option to go 5760 X 1080. I could not use bezel correction with the prior set up I had with different displays. When you get to that selection, just pick the standard display option. I hope this helps. I cannot think of anything else that might help.
