Good racing all around men! I had one small incident but the party involved gave back the place... thanks.
I went against my usual M.O. tonight and pushed my tires hard and two-stopped the long race. I think it worked out for me. 4th with this crew is a good finish, I'll take it.

Sadly I missed another race. Last on I was on vacation and had absolutely no way to race. This one my daughter needed my help and there is no way I would say I couldn't help, even if she wasn't 8 months pregnant. I lost track of time and finished up too late. I will make the next race though. Jim

nice! gap to Capon went down unfortunately the gap to a whole 'whack' of drivers below went down also fun race everyone, thanks! First race was pretty good finish, was trying to pace Tony which was not easy/possible Second race was having a blast trying to stay with Craig until he unfortunately turned in a bit too tight in the last corner and tagged a barrel. At which time my strategy of trying to stay on his bumper did not go well But still a great race, unfortunate Craig's motor went

Had a lot of fun last night, at least for the 2nd race. I was a victim in Turn 1 at the start of the first race. Spun off at the exit of the corner and slammed into the wall. Ended up with a flat and limped it back to the pits. Finished 16th. Race 2 was much better. Went with a 1 pit stop strategy. Tires were good for the first 11 or 12 laps, then they fell off the cliff. Battled through some traffic and was up to 3rd with a couple laps to go. John Culbert closed in quickly and got by with much fresher tires. Thought I could hold onto 4th, but on the last lap I mis-shifted going into T5, then Dale was able to get by me. Guess his trash talk got to me there! Great racing by everyone and it sounds like most had a good time. Congrats to our new guy Nick Haeusler for his race 1 victory and to John Nelson for his win in the 2nd one. I put together an onboard video of the 2nd race last night. Condensed it down to about 15 minutes. Tried out the "Pedal Cam" last night. Pardon the holes in my socks - ventilation is needed during an intense race and I figure I need all the help I can get. Still working to improve my heel/toe downshifting, but it's getting there. Also using left footed braking (or trail-braking) occasionally.

I finally had a good race this week. The first race was great for me, with my best finish of 12th. I felt I ran it pretty clean and had a few short battles with Dan. Race 2 was a complete nightmare for me. Losing 5 places on the start and for some reason when we restarted for the third time my FFB was gone from my wheel and my pedals were not responding like normal either. I kept locking up and spinning on the turn 6 hairpin. I was struggling just to finish but I wasn't too upset because I did so well (for me at least) in race 1. Congrats to winners and podium finishers. I feel bad for John Culbert jr, 2nd in both races. Always the bridesmaid, never the bride, right John? I am sure you will get a win very soon.

Is there a record for number of second place finishes behind DIFFERENT drivers? Ah well. Race 1 might well be a Race of the Year candidate, Nick, myself and briefly Boza traded the lead a good 8-10 times between us, about as evenly matched as you could get. Once the two of us broke away from Boza it was a straight fight, both quick, but both making minor mistakes; unfortunately I made the one bigger mistake, getting out onto the grass at Turn 1, and that was that. Thanks to traffic and some more mistakes I managed to get back up near his bumper but ran out of time. I don't mind finishing 2nd like that, because it wasn't about some tire bullshit, just a man to man fight. Race 1 had lots of hard but clean door-to-door racing between us. Race 2 unfortunately, Nick was a bit rougher with a few guys, BUT I think it had more to do with his lag than his driving, considering how clean he was in Race 1. In Race 2 his ping was around 300 and his car was doing a fair bit of floating and blinking--hard to race with, so I'd give him the benefit of the doubt. Race 2, I did a 2 stopper on Softs and ended up being the fastest car on the track in the last 10 laps, blew by everyone back up to 3rd, and then on the very last lap, slipped by Nick in the downhill section as he went a bit wide, probably worn his tires out too! One more lap and I would have won, cuz Nelson was out of gas! What else is new. I know this probably won't be the case, but I would LOVE it if these races were either held early in the morning, or towards the evening like this one, server time... Suddenly, tires weren't being absolutely demolished. I couldn't come anywhere near Nelson's ridiculous tire wear, but I still managed 13 laps on a set of Softs--that's gotta be a record for me.

Losing 5 places on the start and for some reason when we restarted for the third time my FFB was gone from my wheel and my pedals were not responding like normal either. I kept locking up and spinning on the turn 6 hairpin. If you haven't, there are two very useful control mappings in rFactor. Reset FFB and HW Plugins. When my controls go weird I hit the Reset FFB first and if that doesn't work I toggle the plugins off and on. Most of the time that will fix the issue.

Thanks, I will look into that. It only happens if I am on track and we move to the next session. That last reset moved us right to the grid so that is why it was off. I am not too worried about it but something for me to look into at least.

Last night was one of the best racing nights I had in a long time. Thanks to the admins and all the guys on TS who make it that much better. I was able to pull a Senna like lap for pole in the first race on the last lap as time ran out. Got an ok start but lost a few spots went off into T1 and blew my race. Fought back to 5th or 6th. My second race was MUCH better. Got a good start and led with heavy pressure. Once the pit stops started I knew I was clear. I got worried around lap 15 when the guys behind were catching me by 2 seconds per lap so I thought it wise to pit one lap early for tires, so I finally pitted on lap 17 instead of 18. I tried to add more fuel but the pit crew refused and only put in what I had planned. After pushing hard to make the gap again I realized I was almost 2 laps short. So with my lead I knew I could short shift and save fuel while managing the gap to P2. On the last lap I was coasting a lot and trying to make it to the line. Coming off the last corner the fuel counter went to ZERO and I accelerated until the car sputtered and then pushed in the clutch to coast across the line. AWSOME night of racing. Thanks to all and yes John you would have caught me with another lap...

Started looking through the replays to get highlights. Unfortunately, the track side cameras are horrible. Probably the worst I've ever seen. They bounce all over the place and are facing the wrong way several times during a lap. With the current CAM file, there is no way I will be able to put together a watchable highlight video. Is anyone handy with editing the CAM file for the track?
Here is the top 10 qualifying overlay so you can see what I mean.
