I keep all my packages folders on my desk top, Just create a folder call it what you want, it can be anywhere you desire, just point the Mod manager to the one you want to install from, you can install from multiple locations. So for example I have test files in one, ISI public release in another, third party tracks and cars in another...plus a few more for testing purposes. I can jump between them installing anything I need in any combination. Only the Vmods end up in the install Packages folder.

Heh, well it is true to say I have more installs than most and more versions of tracks and cars than you can shake a stick at...But down the line, as more mods and third party tracks come out, cross pollination of stuff will be inevitable, we have already had on issue with that in internal testing. So just chalk it down as info for the future.

I'm going to start organizing my stuff a little better. I can see it becoming a mess if everything just gets slapped in one folder.
Looking forward to Sunday.

Sounds good, Smokey. Let's chase some Boza down tomorrow morning! I need to work on my sector 2 time for sure.
All, I would like to start the first race promptly at 8:30 PDT so we don't get into the Enduracers race. Please arrive in time to set some sort of lap time in practice, which will be used to set the grid in race 1. You'll just get gridded at the back if you don't, so no biggie. If you're partial to a skin, post up your car number. I'd like to spread the skins around if possible.
Lastly, F1Fan has setup a backup server in case mine can't handle the race. It is clearly marked backup. If you arrive late and see most guys on that server, we've obviously switched.
See you all tomorrow!

Smokey, you sound like my wife, as long as stuff is in a box and the box is in it's place then it is tidy, but the interior of the box could be in an awful mess...Take my word for it, your packages folder will be a mess in time. As you start to collect third party tracks and cars and thing get updated, sooner or later you will have issues. Just like rF1 it is is better to keep things separate. This is tidy, dumping everything in one folder is not...You don't have to keep them on your desktop, I do because I am forever adding and deleting stuff. Tuck them away in your Documents folder and in computer terms everything is tidy. I'm sure you don't need to do it yet, but you will mate or your be on here asking why X Y or Z wont run, load or is causing a crash

Got to admit I'm not a fan of this car track combo, trying to keep the assists off...but there are some nasty old sections where thing can go badly wrong...Still at least there are no holes to fall in

if I run no DRS im fine but everytime im trying to hit it its awkward with GT rim so im not liking it & knight its easy without TC but I have to turn down my brake pressure as I was locking up badly without ABS but DRS sucks arse lol the other matter knight I will eventually make single mods for single series like I have for rF1 but as there is nothing in rF2 I really like so it don't matter. when we get V8s in rF2 itll get its own little space in a protective corner all rest bleh who cars lol

Heh, if I went with that thinking I wouldn't get to race here at all, Porches, Prototypes, Open Wheelers...I would choose none of them, but the fun is the racing with good folk. I have to drive everything that comes out in rF2 of course, sometimes I am pleasantly surprised once I have put in the seat time, sometimes my wails of disgust ring out over TS on every corner LOL
