Guess I misunderstood you John. Thought you were questioning the start time of the race still. How are we deviating from the schedule? We are running the same order of tracks as the real V8's. Never mind, I'm a moron, for some reason I was confusing Phillip Island with Sandown. Continue! Disregard!

I'm thinking a Camel painted on Tony's car would be a great addition

I'm going to have to sit this one out, guys. I thought I was near the end of this flu, but the flu disagrees.

FU*^*^(*&^(*^(*&^%)(*&(*^%&!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Man I was having the best race of my life. I was totally in the groove there and then CTD!! Man that sucks. Really felt like I had a good thing going. I put 8 laps on the softs and felt I could have probably squeezed out 3 more. Had a couple of offs but figured that out and vowed never again. Kept the car totally clean. No damage and was just feeling smooth. DAMMIT!!! Somebody post that replay file so I can cry at the tape where I suddenly vanish. I want to at least cherish the first quarter of the race

If it helps man, it's happened to almost all of us at some time. Just like a random mechanical or electrical failure in real racing.

Thanks for the replay Hawks, Dan gave it to me early though lol I get to replay the pain over and over again. Yeah that was tough to swallow, so I went ahead and swallowed some Johnnie Walker Explorers Club. lol

Been there on the disco'd thing!
However my race was a good one. After an 8 race hiatus (thanks work), the race gods were kind to me.
Cracked the top 10 and had good chases all three stints and no major incidents. Big thanks to all the lapped traffic that let folks through so those position battles could continue uninterrupted.
Love the endurance events!
Congrats to our podium peeps; Great job!
Cheers!

Congrats to Jeff on his birthday win at Bathurst. Well I was doing fine until lap 3 turn 2, got on the gas to hard and spun it into the wall. I had to stay put until everybody was passed me before I could get going again. From there I just focused on the car ahead of me and closing the gap. By lap 14 I was battling with Sheldon for 14th even though he didn't know it. He was a good 30+ second ahead of me but I was gaining a few seconds on him every lap. I just kept focusing on getting closer to him. I made my last pitstop before he did, and when he made his last pit stop, I was coming around hell corner just as he exited. I knew this was my best shot at catching him on his cold tires. I had a few more incidents but was able to finally overtake him on the very last corner.
I was sweating my balls off after 40 laps (sorry about the darth vader fan noise) but I had a great time.

Congrats Jeff on the win and happy birthday.
I practiced a little for this race and didn't really know how my pit stratgy was going to play out. I did a PB in Qualy to get my first 2:07.XX which put in 5th I think.
Race start went ok and slotted in the line up the mouuntain. From there I had issues of glancing off walls enough that the car handling went away and lost spots due to that. My plan was to pit at lap 14 and 28 but by lap 12 I was needing to pit due to low fuel, I fixed the car also. From there came out and just tried to gain anything, had some good runs with Chris and Kelly. I decided as seeing how I screwed myself by my poor first stint to pit earlier, go to 3 pitstops and to run softs on a short last stint. It didn't really gain me anything but I didn't get lapped and finished 10th.
I normally like the longer races but again as has been the case for me this season the pitstops and or stratgy screws me up.
