I am encouraged by the IGN review, in which the reviewer notes that the new FFB features in the Xbox One controller helped him better feel what the car was doing. I don't know about this... when I played FM5 what struck me was the steering was touchy because the thumbsticks have a lot less resistance. Also the vibrating triggers were neat but I don't think they provided information beyond what my eyes and ears were telling me - though it could be that it was so new that I needed time to understand what the vibration was telling me. Also I was playing the game demo, not a full release. FM5 felt like FM4 with a new controller. Best Buy will likely have the Xbox One with the Forza 5 demo up and running here in Eugene on Friday. I intend to head over there with my kids on Friday night and try it out. I should probably do that before I buy and download Forza 5, even if I get the Xbox One on Friday night after work. |

Ya, try it before you buy it. I'm hoping my stuff ships tomorrow and I've got Friday tentatively blocked off in my calendar as a leave day  My pre-order game is Assassin's Creed 4. I picked up AC3 used from GameStop last week and it's fun so I'll get 4. |

I see what they're doing though... instead of determining understeer through tire noise and car yaw you'll feel a certain waveform, oversteer may be another effect, etc. yes, after thinking on it I should probably be applauding rather than ridiculing them. Making a controller a more viable experience for a racing game is probably a good thing. The more people trying and enjoying a game like Forza the more likely to broaden their horizons to other platforms/race sims, hopefully  I think what really got me commenting was Craig's use of the word 'giddy' along with xbox one, forza 5, controller  Come on now, giddy ?  |

You can buy the entire F1 2013 game for less than the cost of that F1 car in Forza 5. |
