I don't use a controller but I will ask some of the NNG guys if they do and how they have it mapped.

I downloaded Battlefield 4 off of Origin last night and installed it on my PC. As you may recall, the days of physical media are behind me, with the exception of Gran Turismo 6. Anyway, 24 GB later, the game was on my PC. I fired it up and was immediately amazed, or should I say, dismayed, by the loading times. They take forever!!! OK, I can live with that. I am running the game on my triples at a hefty resolution of 5760 X 1200. I tried the game on "High" settings, but the FPS dipped below 30 too much and so I instead went to "Medium" settings. Medium settings get me a steady 40-60 FPS, which is pretty damn good, and the game still looks amazing. I am using a single 4 GB EVGA 670 GPU. I suck at shooters and so I usually play on the "Easy" skill level, particularly in harder games such as Battlefield. Well, even "Easy" is "Hard" for me and so I got killed pretty quickly. But, the single player campaign is nonetheless quite fun. It seems to be more of the same Battlefield 3 stuff, but that is fine with me. I do not anticipate playing multiplayer, but I am sure the single player will be a nice diversion for the next year or two that it will take me to finish the campaign on the "Easy" skill level. I also play to get Call of Duty Ghosts next Tuesday for my PC via Steam. I am sure that will be good fun as well. Anyhoo, those are my thoughts.

P.S. - I was worried that the game would not run well on my rig, since I am using Windows 7 64-bit, and the recommended OS is Windows 8 64-bit. That did not turn out to be a problem, the game runs fine on my rig, although perhaps I could get better FPS if I had Windows 8 64-bit.

You can usually find me on the No Nonsense Gamers server when I am online.
It's a 64 player Hardcore mode only server and we run all the Conquest Large maps in that same game mode.
Right now we are running all the maps but I see at least one being dropped in the future.
KRGDark is my Origin ID. Feel free to add me if you like.

As a noob iam a tad lost.....I tried adding you krg and looked for your server last night but was unable to accomplish either How do you add a friend? I tried using the search in the top right it just said no friend found and is there an easy way to search for a server other than by scrolling through the million available?

I just saw your request Kurupt and accepted it so we should be friends now. Here is the full title for the server I play on: No Nonsense Gamers - HARDCORE - Massive Warfare When I'm playing, you should be able to see the server I'm on and click it, join it, etc.

Hope so, kissed off an epic run last night because of the server crashes. I'm still getting the random client crashes and sound loop crash so not even close to being out of the woods yet.
Still having fun, albeit with a lot more swearing. Looking at a new video card too cause I need to crank up my FPS as I realized my high FPS right now is because I have lots of stuff turned down when I actually thought I was running in a higher mode.

LOL, this is exactly what Nvidia and AMD want to hear - "I need a new video card so that I can get more FPS in Battlefield 4."

Oh yeah, I totally know I'm playing into it but as its a major part of my gaming that is cool. I can sell my 660ti no problem which will offset the cost of the 780

I have had my 4 GB 670 for 1 1/2 years and have no itch to upgrade right now. I am shocked, I would have thought that I would want to upgrade by now.

Guess I'll return this game as well as I can't justify an upgrade of my video card. Knowing myself if I start playing and enjoying it, it will constantly eat at me. Devil on one shoulder, my wife on the other.
