Guess I'll return this game as well as I can't justify an upgrade of my video card. Knowing myself if I start playing and enjoying it, it will constantly eat at me. Devil on one shoulder, my wife on the other. 2 devils hey j/k

Anyone able to figure out how to make the Xbox 360 controller recognize in this game? I've googled it and haven't had any luck thus far.

It's just the game. It works fine with COD, but have never been able to get it to work with BF4.

I think you have to use it wired for sure but my understanding is that it should just work.
I will ask a couple of the folks at NNG if they use controllers and post back here what I find.

Thanks Kelly. I am using a wired controller and the drivers are installed correctly. Works great with COD, but no luck in BF. I tried to remap it under key bindings in game, but it's like it's not been hooked up.

The only things I've seen/heard or been told is to make sure the controller is fully on (lit up) before you launch the game AND/OR ensure any other gaming device has been disabled/unplugged (Read other gamepads, G13 type devices, etc).
Also it must be a branded XBox controller or Logitech Controller. DICE isn't supporting any other manufacturers (officially).
Beyond that, there is a host of issues using a controller posted on multiple boards so you are not alone in not having the controller recognized.
I'll keep doing some investigating for you but if either of the above actually work, let me know.
Cheers!

Thanks Kelly. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers just now, but no luck. I've heard there are several with issues of the way the controller is mapped, but haven't seen too many with the issue I'm having (the game not recognizing the controller is even installed). Guess I'm just one of the lucky few. LOL.

Finally figured it out and it ended up being the simplest thing. I have my TH8RS shifter plugged in and for some reason BF4 won't recognize the xbox controller when they are both plugged in (COD will however). I simply unplugged the shifter and it now works like a charm. Sigh!

Lol, wasn't one of my comments above to make sure no other gaming device was plugged in? Sheesh!!
