Lame. Instant turnoff. I absolutely LOVE the triples in Guild Wars 2. You wanna talk about peripheral vision while manning a wall against invaders? Lack of triple support on the PC tells me one thing...PC is an afterthought for them. Consoles are their focus and all they really care about.

The guys are wsgf.org are working on it and one guy has already posted a fix that I will try tonight. Most of the previous Call of Duty games, including Black Ops II, did not work on triple screens out of the box, but there was a simply plug in called widescreen fixer that did the trick. It is not clear whether widescreen fixer will be updated to include Ghosts.
I applaud EA and Dice for making Battlefield 4 triple screen compatible out of the box. Many other EA games were triple screen friendly out of the box, including Battlefield 3, Medal of Honor Warfighter and Shift 2 Unleashed. Kudos to EA for serving the hardcore faithful.

No triple screen support for the PC version. Really? Wow I am really surprised by that.

Curious to find out if you are able to get COD to work on triples. I'm leaning more toward BF4 right now, especially after hearing that news. Also scratched my head when I saw the commercial and saw guys floating around in space fighting each other. Seems COD is becoming more like Halo these days.

Also scratched my head when I saw the commercial and saw guys floating around in space fighting each other. Seems COD is becoming more like Halo these days. I tried the "fix" that I found on wsgf.org. It does indeed allow us to get triple screen resolutions, I use 5760 X 1200, but the FOV is locked at 65 and so it does not look right. In order for the game to be playable at triple screen resolutions, you need to get a higher FOV. There was a mod developed to change the FOV, but Activision/Infinity Ward apparently threatened the guy legally and so he took it down. I emailed one of the guys who developed the widescreen fixer tool, which includes almost all of the prior Call of Duty game, but he told me that he does not have the game. If he gets it, he said he will develop a fix. Because of the triple screen issues, and because the PC version apparently requires at least 6 GB to play, I cannot recommend the PC version of Ghosts at this time. Rather, if you need to choose between Ghosts and Battlefield 4 for PC, go with Battlefield 4. It looks much better, natively supports triple screen resolutions and does not have the hefty RAM requirement. That being said, if you can get both, and if you can live without triple screens and you have the 6 GB or more of RAM, Ghosts is a worthwhile purchase. I am about an hour into the campaign and the story is richer than Battlefield 4's campaign. It of course has the run and gun that is the hallmark of the COD series, whereas Battlefield is more tactical. Infinity Ward is rolling out a new graphics engine with Ghosts and it shows. The graphics are less flashy than Battlefield 4, but more life like and gritty, kind of reminds me of rFactor 2. The engine definitely is showing its potential, but it is just that, potential, which is not yet realized. I hope that helps.

Sounds like COD on PC is a bomb. 50GB install.....6GB RAM.....and not really any improvement over prior versions. Check out this review if you want a chuckle.

So if the FoV sucks for PC then it's probably the same for XB1 with the restriction that I can't even hack it.
Damn, it looks like my day one game purchase is going to be FIFA14 then and I'll get Halo later in the year when it's released.

I personally think the FOV is fine for single screen action at 1920 X 1200, which is what I am currently playing it at on my PC. I have not experienced the dizziness and headaches that are talked about on the Internet. My problem with the FOV is when I go with a triple screen resolution of 5760 X 1200. That won't work with a FOV of 65, rather, I need a FOV that is much higher.

Thanks for the info Craig. That just sealed my decision not to go with COD at this time.

Those review scores reinforce my initial vibe about the game. I stand by my theorization that COD was designed for console...PC was an afterthought they didn't care about, but decided to try to cash in on some free money.
