I should be there despite all the swearing I do driving this car. All is fine until I push then the tires get hot and I'm out of control. I'm certainly not going to find 2 seconds a lap....

If you have not had a chance to connect to the server I would encourage you to do so at least an hour in advance of the race.
This way any technical issues that crop up can be dealt with well before race time.

This has been frustrating the hell out of me too. Every time I run a good lap I run a dozen not close to it. |

LOL FWIW, I had a "sim racing lunch" with a colleague who's been reluctant to join us for some racing being that he's a beginner. I showed him LiveRacers and the big difference in the laps times. Told him the top guys are fighting each other, the middle guys have their own battles, and the back of the field also battle against each other. That's why I like bigger fields. Always someone to battle with even if it is for not-last lol |

I seem to like this track/car combo myself. should be a great series if we all show some patience.

Every time I looked for the server only the backup server showed up for me. I did get some practice in offline but wanted more but life's been getting in the way,  I'll be there |

I find I have to refresh the severs often to find the right one I am looking for.

Good racing tonight folks!
Thanks to everyone that came out. 17 people for the series opener is fantastic!
Unfortunately we had a small hiccup caused by the Moon's Zenith over Antarctica which disrupted a Rogue Arctic Penguin who peed on the Server. Sorry about that but we'll do a bit of hunting to see if can resolve it so we have smooth sailing from here on out.
From what I saw and heard tonight it sounds like there were some great battles out there. Please leave your first race impressions here and feel free to tell the tales of the battles.

In my debut at Gone Broke my internet went broke............  Damn frustrating. Was having a good run, leading the race with Caleb chasing me...but the worse happened, although I cant say was unexpected because the way my conection was behaving this night. Arrrghhh......  I will be there in the next one, hopefully. Thanks. |

Angelo it was the server that booted everyone. You get the victory! I think David is doing 1/2 points.
Something really weird happened here... I have this cable TV system that uses an IP protocol over coax. Anyway, almost exactly at the time the server booted us, the cable box my g/f was watching locked up. If the race server was in my house and not on the other side of the continent I'd think it was related.
