Oh....really??? The server booted everyone? that must be one of the luckiest moments of my life then...lol. Hm, I will expect the official results then...but I woundt mind if we all want a re-run.

Angelo it was the server that booted everyone. You get the victory! I think David is doing 1/2 points. Something really weird happened here... I have this cable TV system that uses an IP protocol over coax. Anyway, almost exactly at the time the server booted us, the cable box my g/f was watching locked up. If the race server was in my house and not on the other side of the continent I'd think it was related. Yeah... Here when I got the conection lost I looked to my modem and literaly about 5 seconds later he went dead...the lights went out. That must be a hell of a coincidence or either my conection went down before or after the server problem.

Thanks to all for putting up with me in my medicated state. Had a great time and some excellent battles with Dan, Sheldon and several others. I apologize to Tom for the contact on a couple occasions. These cars are a handful, but so much fun to drive. Congrats to Angelo on the W. Thanks to Dave and Kelly for putting this awesome series together.

Race wrap up has been posted to the second post in this thread accessible HERE
I want to thank everyone for their patience. The restarts will go away after a couple of rounds as we get used to things. The server issue was (hopefully) a fluke. Everyone was very cool about it and we didn;t have to ban anyone this time around As far as my race, I could have done slightly better in quali but I was happy. I made too many mistakes and dropped fast. Made up a few spots but still disappointed. The the exhibition we ran afterwards I was having a blast running nose to tail with Jason, Sheldon and Chris...until I screwed up again! This mod really can bite you in the ass! Zandvoort in two weeks time and I can't wait!!

I had a blast! Thanks for doing this series. Angelo, welcome to GBR and congrats on the win. I am glad to see GBR expand even if these new guys are way to freakin fast!

I also love this mod. It is great fun and sounds fantastic! I appreciate you guys setting this up and allowing me to drive. That was the most fun I've had racing online in a long time! I was laughing the entire race @ some of the comments on Teamspeak, also very entertaining (I kept wanting to reply "That's what she said" a lot but thought it might annoy someone). Too bad about the server fluke, I think strategy was about to come into play. Angelo (as always) was able to start pulling away as my tires were in need of replacement. It will be fun to see that play out in the full length races.

Caleb, don't ever feel that way with this group. That's what we're all about! Glad you enjoyed kicking our collective asses (except for Angelo lol).

I think strategy was about to come into play. Half the reason I like racing online at GBR is for all the laughs. Plenty of 13 year old boy humor here.

Great fun while it lasted, and yeah strategies were just starting to come into play. I will have to wait until Silverstone as I will be on Winter vacation for the Zandvoort event. Thanks for hosting this great series and thanks to the guys I raced wheel to wheel with last night especially Armando. Always top notch racing with GBR, see you all on track in Feb.

Caleb, don't ever feel that way with this group. That's what we're all about! Yeah, the only racing that we discourage chat for is the V8 Supercars because that's our premier/serious race series. Once qualifying starts we ask that drivers use TeamSpeak for race communication only. Everything else we run is more social and chatty.

We're trying to make this another premier series but I think the chat we experienced last night was not distracting at all and adds to the fun.

I apologize to Tom for the contact on a couple occasions. No worries, I was having too much fun to care. I, in turn, must apologize to Armando for us ending up in the gravel T1 on the final restart. I snuck up on him where there was barely room for a car and it didn't work out. I spent the whole race pushing the limits of the car, especially under braking, trying to learn what it'll do and consequently ran off the track quite a bit. Remarkable to have a circuit with the appearance of a street course that is so fast yet forgiving. Nice track selection! Hopefully, all of us not named Caleb or Angelo will pick up some speed as we learn these cars. I did some post-race setup and testing to get into the 56s but that's still a ways off.... Congrats Angelo on the win, I got some enjoyment from your happiness after you learned that everyone got discoed but too bad that you and Caleb weren't able to race it out to the end. Thanks everyone who agreed to run the practice race afterwards, much better than sending everyone home with 1/2 a race run. See you in a couple of weeks.

Shame I coundnt take part in the testing after the server issue. My Internet was down for like an hour after the crash.
I was very curious about the strategy aswell. I had 2 choices on my mind and at that point on the race I wasnt sure wich one to pick!
Zandvoort is a very technical circuit. Should be great.
