Great to see a decent turn out & some new faces tonight. Angelo's pace and the most stops was the quickest strategy tonight, great job !
In the closing stages of the race I had a consistent gap to 4th Jason until Dale got by him. I was stroking the car home and didnt notice Dale closing until 3.5 seconds separated us. Then as I picked up the pace I had a late understeering turn in at T-10, skipped over the exit curb onto the grass and even managed to initial the tire wall with my left side. Then by the time I regained the track with no momentum Dale was right beside me. We were both using max revs at this point so it was a closely fought battle in identical machinery. By the time I started to get up to speed using max revs the flag fell. Dale and I could have both done one more lap apparently but would have been tight.
Great racing everyone, thanks to all that supported this great series tonight.

Yes, it was good to see participation up and to have two new drivers. I'm not sure what I was thinking but a decent qualifying effort was thrown away at T2 when I just drove myself off track. So rejoining in last and I figured it was time for a challenge in the style of Fahn and decided to see how much I could make up from the back while conserving fuel. 3rd place? I gotta be happy with that! I had a good battle with Jason for a few laps at two different times as our pit strategies overlapped us then things settled down and after a while I started to think Tony might be reachable. GID said I had lots of fuel so I switched to hotlapping mode and chased him down. Once I got ahead I was redlining every shift to try and keep a gap.

Thanks for the fun tonight guys. Im glad we keep this going.
Today´s race was unbeliavable on my side. Qualy was good, but Jeff was way faster this time, with amazing lap times. My plan was to do a 2 stop race, one of those stops just for a splash, the first one. I managed to jump in front after the start, but Jeff was attacking me, and unfortunately to me we touched again, and I had a spin. I did my first stop for the splash, and that went ok. But I forgot to change the menu to change tires for my second stop, and that was a complete disaster. I put fuel to finish the race but on the following lap had to stop again to get tires, and at that point I tought that the fight for the Win was over to me. I was 38 seconds behind Jeff and there wasnt any pitstops left. But then I started to catch, the race was far from the end still, and I thought "hm, this is not over yet!" I went for it, and of course Jeff was limited on fuel. It was a intense and insane drive by me, pushing and pushing for a long time. With 10 minutes to go I was less than 9secs behind him, so the game was pretty much on. But me fuel was starting to look short aswell at that point, which was tense. I started to short shift but not giving up the chase, and it worked quite well, as Jeff needed to stop for a splash himself, which gave me the Win at last. On my fuel tank only 3 liters lefting, and this because on the last 2 minutes I started to drive like grandma!
Pretty hardcore race this time!
And next is home race to me, Brazil, Interlagos!

Well done Angelo. I was shocked to look at the results and realize you made a 3-stop work. I was sure my GID display was wrong during the race when it said you did that many stops.

First I must say a thanks to you guys for letting me in and join.
I have had this mod for a long time and have never got round to actually using it so was looking forward to this.
TBH I do not like the mod now that I have raced it. I find the front end locks up very easily and whilst its physics are possibly very good, I was finding that the car does not instantly respond when one lifts off the brakes to unlock.
But so we learn and it will get better.
The race was a blast and Johan and I had been debating the one stop strategy the previous night and we had planned on a second splash towards the end. The idiot in #11 though figured he would do away with that last stop and so I ended up a few metres from the line after coasting down the back straight.
Jimmy had an off in the early stages and I collected him as he spun across the track which damaged me enough to effectively drop my top speed by about 15kph. Thereafter I was basically just looking for a finish and I couldnt even get that right!!!!
Ah well shall be better prepped for the next one although Interlagos is probably my worst track.
Thanks guys again.

I would like to apologize to Kit for our incident. I got too hot coming out of a corner and ended up hitting the wall and then bouncing back onto the track. Typical 2-3 lap incident for me. Just when I think I am doing well I cause myself to spin.

If you hadn't noticed this mod has tires that will heat very fast then lose grip until they cool down again. If you lock the tires bad then you have much less grip for a few seconds. So it's kinda of an exercise to get your suspension and brake bias set in a way that works for you and doesn't overwork your tires.

Very fun race last night fellas. Ended up with a top 5, which feels like a victory to me in these cars, especially after 90 minutes of Sebring. I apologize to Jimmy at the start as I had major wheel spin off the line and whipped the car left, making contact with Jimmy as he was coming up the left side along the wall. I wasn't trying to block I promise. Had a good long scrap with Tony and David as we were nose to tail for many laps. The one mistake I made (beside the wheel spin at the start) was entering the 90 degree right hander. The car wouldn't stop and I had to make an evasive maneuver to avoid taking out David. Luckily I missed him and went through the grass and kissed the wall. When I went back and looked at the replay, I realized I was in 3rd when I should have been in 2nd as I entered the corner. Mental lapse, but luckily it didn't effect anyone else, except maybe giving Dave elevated blood pressure. Had a couple very good battles with Dale, but didn't want to put up a fight when I realized I would be 1 lap short of doing a 1 stopper. Did a splash and dash and came out about 8-10 sec ahead of Chris and was able to hold onto 5th. Great race. Thanks to everyone that came out. Awesome cars, good track, and cool folks to race with. PS: Sorry you all had to hear my youngest daughter on TS. I usually can reach the mute button, but these cars demand my full attention to keep them on track.

Just when I think I am doing well I cause myself to spin. Hahaha, no problems at all. As I try and teach my kids and colleagues, everything in life is in your own hands and so I should have avoided you. Its racing. And funnily enough I could see it happening in slow mo too but just couldnt think to swerve the other way or brake or whatever. Nah, its no problems, although I was hoping to beat you to the end but my low fuel situation hampered me somewhat.

They can be tricky and most of us have the brake balance mapped for on the fly adjusting as the fuel burns down and the weight balance changes. The tire model is extremely sensitive and the car & tires respond well when the right changes are made. Once you get the car dialed in you'll be addicted for life like the rest of us
