After my crash and another spin on the next lap, all I wanted to do was catch back up to Kit. I was gaining on him but he was better on fuel (until the last lap). Keeping Chris at bay for a handful of laps until i needed to pit again for fuel was fun.
Kit, these cars really are fun and I was very frustrated with them at the beginning. I would constantly loose the rear end and spin on exiting corners. Then I played with the ride height and put the rear down as far as it would go, and got the rear sway bar either detached or as low as it will go (can't remember if you can detach the rear sway bar on these) but once I got that figured out I was able to increase my handling and lap times.
Everybody here is more than willing to help with setups so just give a shout and somebody will have good advice.

Thanx guys for letting me participate and join! Love these cars! Must say that was the most fun race I had since starting to race! I had a couple of nice dices and was quick enough to keep up! But sadly I had a big lag making me wait for 3 seconds and let me hit the wall! but thanx a lot!

It was great racing last night. I am really glad to see a couple of new faces and I hope you guys are able to stick with it. Play around with the setup and try not to over drive. I find GID irreplaceable for this mod due to the fuel and tire strategy. You will get an idea of when you've overheated the tire and when to back off.
My race went okay. There seems to be a major disparity with the fuel consumption on these cars. I paced Tony for the first stint and I was shifting below 6K RPM. I couldn't make it mid race like that. If there was a performance difference I would accept it as a compromise but I am not so sure. Maybe I am just doing something wrong but it is one of the things I will look at in the off-season. I wanted the series to shake out so that some tracks would be damn near impossible to no-stop (assuming a 45 minute race) and some being easier. Adding 5 minutes to each 45-minute leg would just make everyone pit which I am not sure I want to do.
Back to my race, when I realized I wouldn't make a 1-stop I started running faster laps knowing I would need a splash. I decided to stop earlier than I needed but I forgot to turn off the tires! UGH!! I then started to go all out and was able to get passed a few guys to salvage some points.
Again, thanks for coming out. It would be nice to keep participation at around 15 or higher but I guess the mod isn't jiving with some...oh well.
I'll post up the results a little later.

Tony, Dale, if you could tell me your consumption (assuming you both use liters) I would like to do some comparing. If you want to tell me in a PM I understand. My <6K shifting was netting me 4.7 liters/lap at best.

Pretty uneventful race for me. Narrowly avoided Jimmy & Kit. Heart skipped a beat there. Spent some time chasing cars that were a few seconds in front. Then a lot of hot lapping. Had a pretty good little scrap with Jimmy after I came out of the pits, up until he made his second stop. Then I started pushing a little harder thinking I was in the clear on fuel, but ended up nearly cutting myself short. I let up to let Angelo past, to finish the race. Out of curiosity I went around to see how close I would've been.....the tank ran dry coming out of the final corner.

My <6K shifting was netting me 4.7 liters/lap at best. It's no secret. Go to the LiveRacers results, hit the + sign next to our names and you'll see fuel % at the end of each lap. The Ferraris have a 100 L tank so you don't even have to do math. With those results I can see that you appeared to pit one lap too early (assuming these results are accurate). You came in with 10% fuel... if you'd stayed out for that lap then you'd have had more fuel to use in the second stint.

I know I had another lap but there was 50 minutes left in the race. I figured at the end if the next lap there would still be 47+ minutes so I would be ~4-5 minutes shy after two stints.
Thanks for the info in LR. I never knew that.
