I jumped on for an hour or so tonight and the lt front is getting destroyed. Going to be some interesting strategies tomorrow night.

Gonna be an interesting one. Work has been a bitch so I've only got about 20 laps practice. I don't think that's enough. The only thing working in my favour is that I know this track well having run it 3 or 4 times before. I think I have a plan... if it works, then great... but if it doesn't work it will cost me, badly.

I may not make this one either now. I'm having a PC issue that just started on Monday night. When I'm racing on track I intermintently get .5 to 1sec freeze ups, it will do like two in a row then may be fine for a lap or so then do it again. I noticed last night that at the same time or just before this happens the "NUM LOCK" light on the keyboard goes out and I hear the little Windows chime sound for the USB connection/disconnection.So I have some trouble shooting to do. Oh and doesn't seem to do it if the rig is not hooked up and the AI is driving the car.

Tonites racing s/b great, agreed a test of tire mngmnt. I too getting some freeze ups described above but will stop many PC srvcs and run it lean for the racing.
Darn, not able to use my 'Don Flem' skin #30:
I see it in skin pk \V8factor11\Teams_Holden\Toll Holden Racing Team\11_HRT_01Skinsasr
I launch game, choose All Seasons 2011 mod (there are 4 mods, always confusing..), select Toll Holden and my paint. I race offline with it fine.
I join srvr and it reverts me to a dflt painted car.
Not a big deal for tonite, will run a generic paint if needed, maybe suggest an available one(?)

I ended up doing a fresh install of everything and hopefully that will solve my problem. As far as tonight race goes I think I have to run inters or do a combo of both tires. I'm thinking it is a power issue to the USB and or Video card. It also happens on my Historic X install on the EFNET server. I need to do some troubleshooting to see if I can isolate it. Just may be coincident but it was after downloading/installing the V8 track pack from that Mega.Com website on Monday night. Everything worked fine on Sunday nights race and I have never had these issues before. |

When I first got into simracing, Race 07 came with this track and I always liked it. I too was amazed at how fast the soft tires wore out. I have no idea what tire strategy I will be using but like others have said, I have a few ideas.
I don't think even Dale or Chris can get away with doing a one stop on inters here, but they have surprised me in the past.

You want V8 Factor Unleashed 2011 (or something like that). I wonder if with "All Seasons" you're picking one of the community cars? Anyway, if you can join the server w/o problems, don't sweat it. Where you might run into problems though is with the tracks that restrict tire choice because that ties into the vehicle files. |

I don't even think mine and Nick's usual strategy of "run softs and pit however many times you have to" will work. Dale's winning this race.  |

Just out of curiosity, has anyone else noticed a transparent white box at the nose and tail of the cars during a replay?
I noticed it at Adelaide also, but don't remember ever seeing it last season. It's not to noticeable during the race, so it wont be a problem.
But it's bugging the hell out of me to see it in an instant replay.
