Both cars are virtually identical. I sent you a pm with a pretty well balanced setup (at least for my driving style).
Also, this video really helped me start to understand V8SC setups.

Thanks Jason. Interesting vid.
I find these cars very wooden with no sense of whats happening to it front and rear.
And then the age old conundrum - how much wing at Bathurst? I am on the stock setting of 9 but am considering reducing that to about 5 because of the huge understeer I experience.

I wouldn't recommend anything more than 5 rear wing at Bathurst as you will lose a lot of time going down the long straights. Also, throttle modulation is key to turning these cars. As Dale mentioned, you slow the car down prior to the corner, then turn in and use the throttle on corner exit. The setup I gave you allows you to use the throttle on corner exit to position the rear of the car. If it seems too slippery, then try softening or even detaching the rear sway bar. I find the softer the springs, the better the car handles, but again everyone's driving style is different.

I have trouble with the backend on these cars most of the time, so I run the rear sway bar detached and usually very high wing. My setup is using a wing of 2 and I tried 1 last night and I just couldn't handle the backend. I am sure the fast guys are all running 1 on the wing.

Getting the feel of them now.
They eat tyres faster than my dogs eat pigeons though.
What is sort of the ideal spread of temps across the tyres? Or do you just go for balancing the spread evenly?

Inters will last longer but you will feel like you are driving on ice. I try to get an even temp but it is tough to do. Looking at last season race here, if you are going to run softs, you are going to do 3 stops. Some guys will mix it up and might start on softs for 10 laps, go a long stretch on inters and then finish on softs. This would be a 2 stop strategy. I think I tried to go inters last season and that failed big time. I will be running softs and try to survive and not hit the wall too many times.

We all eat tires except Dale and Chris. You can only do so much wizardry. That's part of the strategy. If you're worried about burning them right off, just go Inters the entire race and focus on consistency.
Brandon Smith from ESR is hoping to run the race as well Jason, if you could fast-track him.

Just remember fellas, this race is 5 laps shorter than last years and pit road speed is 20 mph slower. Just keeping things interesting for ya'll. We all eat tires except Dale and Chris. No problem - just be sure he posts his info in the join section and provides an email and I will send him the key right away.

So far there have been 11 drivers practicing. If all 11 of those show up, plus the normal guys that don't bother with practice, it looks like we should have a pretty decent turnout for the season finale. If this was a week later I would have to miss it, so glad the timing worked out. I would have to miss this race.

Glad the timing work out for ya Jimmy. I'm really hoping we get a great turnout. Along with the 11 that have posted lap times in LR, we should have TenBear, VonKiller, Ced, Smokey, Helios and Dan. That would bring the field to 17 drivers. Would love to see us hit the 20 mark. Haven't heard if Sheldon, Marvin or Zed can make it. We need to put the pressure on these guys.

Da hell happened to Tony, anyway? I think Tony has abandoned the V8's of rFactor and moved on to Iracing Nascar. That's the rumor anyway.
