That was some good racing tonight. Really enjoyed it. Very good stuff and the action in the turns was great.

I've always enjoyed this track. Made a bad call on tires for Race 2. Shot myself in the foot, and then managed to loop it a couple times...including a trip in the sand in T1. I was lucky to get back into the top 10 when Dan had his bad luck strike late in the race. But at least I managed a solid top 5 in Race 1.

Sorry for the obscenity filled rant in race 1. I don't know what happened but I went right, hit the wall and flew all the way across the track, rFactor2 thought I was going the wrong way and I got an immediate DQ. I was really hoping for a top 5 because of all the practice I put in and the pace I had. I hadn't felt this prepared or good about a race and having that happen on lap 5 just really pissed me off.
Race 2 could have gone better but I will take 9th and move on to Bathurst.

I must also apologize once again for my direct drive potty mouth. My "vent as I go" strategy works well in my life rather than let things build up but you guys certainly didn't need to here that crap. This is normal for me as a former logger and sawmill worker but I have always EXPRESSED myself this way (you should here me when I am working on a car)  . I will mute my self on the control panel from now on to avoid another ear assault. Thanks for understanding guys, fun racing last night with many of you. Hopefully I will be able to get more practice in for the next races with so many talented opponents. Congrats to Race 1 & 2 podium finishers, well done!!!! |

No need to apologize guys, I thought it was pretty funny  . Fun race last night even though I blew it in the 1st race. 2nd race was much better, I was able to get a good start and barely edge out Hawks into T1. After that I was just trying to keep my car as wide as possible to keep Jason behind me and I think he was running more wing, because I was able to keep him behind me on the front straight, but he would catch me thru the sector 2. After pitting I was lucky to be ahead of Jason and that point I was just trying to hold on to the lead. Damn Jason you were putting on some serious pressure on me. All in all it was a good night, now on to Bathurst!!! |

Great race tonight, Sorry you missed the main Sheldon, was looking forward to racing it out with you. Yeah, I was hoping if I could run a clean 2nd race I might benefit  The first race was fun but I had a couple small offs on turn 1 that cost me a bit and I didnt have the pace to close any gap. During warmup just before the 2nd race I tried to get on the track and found my car was stuck in 3rd gear. Was playing around in the controller mappings trying to get it sorted but it seemed like rFactor thought the shifter was stuck in 3rd. I powered off the wheel hoping that would reset things but then the race started and the green light came on. Car was stuck in neutral and I could not shift with the shifter or paddles, wheel would turn and pedals worked though. So mechanical failure and DNF  Checking things out the next day everything seems to work fine so must have been just a glitch... |

For some reason I can't see anyone's custom skins in the replay of this race. The only one I can see is Dave's, but not his window file. I did have the dds file of his skin in my local folder for some reason, and he may have selected it I'm guessing.
Wonder if it's a track specific thing as I can still see everyone's custom skin from the Mid Ohio race replay. Weird.
I was wanting to put together another highlight music vid for this event, but without being able to see everyone's custom skin it's kinda pointless.

I wouldn't say pointless... We still know which car was our base. Not a game breaker just because the custom skins aren't working in replay for whatever reason. |

When I updated to the latest build I needed to go deselect the skin. Maybe that's why mine shows? I did notice that my interior window file was incorrect but I was too lazy to track down the issue.
