Haven't had a chance to turn any laps yet.

There will probably be a few of us on Wednesday night for a practice/tuning/bs session. As always, I'll be happy to share my setup with anyone interested (once I figure one out of course).

Well guys, the lack of road feel has really destroyed rf2 for me. On some tracks it is mediocre (only by cranking the force feedback effort up to artificially compensate)but others where you need extreme precision (Bathurst and Long Beach) it makes it pretty much impossible for me to drive competitively. I was blown away by earliest builds but it's as if some people (you know, the ones that complained of too much grip)complained until ISI made sure there was no road feel left imo. Grip and road feel are closely linked for me as all the grip in the world is useless if you cant feel what your tires are doing. I hope this gets corrected so I can actually feel the tire sidewall flex like earlier builds because imo ISI has destroyed the road feel (at least with my with my G25). I will try the next build when it comes out to see if it suits me any better, until then, I'm out.

Tony, I agree and that's what I've been trying to say all along. You said it much better though! Where is all this grip I keep hearing about??? To me, the car doesn't even feel like it's on the track, like it's hovering just over it or something. I've said that since the start but I felt like no one understood what I was saying. I'm just hoping the feel improves with a future update.

I'm just hoping the feel improves with a future update. Even when we had the exhibition race with RF2 FVRV8's a while back it still seemed okay. During recent offline testing at LB I found I was receiving far more frustration than any kind of fun so there is no point in doing something that's had the fun sucked out of it. I'm glad I'm not the only one who is noticing somethings missing in the latest builds.

I have to completely disagree with both of you guys. For me I can feel what the car is doing and does not feel like it's "hovering" around the track. Maybe it's the wheel I'm using or maybe you guys are expecting rfactor2 to feel more like rfactor. As far as tire flex, grip or no grip I don't know how a real v8 car is suppose feel like because I never drove one in real life, but compared to other sims I played this one feels really good to me. To each his own, I guess you can't please everybody and hopefully future updates will improve the game for you guys. Jeff did you get that same feeling playing other mods on rf2 or is it just the V8 mod?

Don't stop, won't turn and can't put the power down. Other than that car seems good

Sorry to see you go Tony. Both you and Rich were very competitive in the Mid Ohio race and always enjoyed racing with you.
I get that all sims are not created equal and everyone has differing opinions on which ones are to their liking. Luckily there are several to choose from which makes this hobby so addicting.
Whenever we try something new, there will be some growing pains. A great example is Jeff. He HATED the Blancpain mod when we first started using it. Then, something clicked (after many hours of practice I'm sure) and ultimately became his favorite mod and left the rest of us in the dust. I understand guys have other hobbies or sims they are interested in and may not be willing/able to take the time to learn this one. Understand I'm not judging anyone here.
I knew when we started this season we would likely lose numbers as guys either wouldn't like the new sim or mod or both. Hell, first season of rF1 we had only about 5 of us. I truly believe rF2 will continue to get better and I also think there will be some improvements once the 2014 cars comes out for the FVR mod. I try my best to make this series enjoyable, draw interest from outside by making videos and having our first invitational event at Bathurst.

I'm not sure whether you guys mean rF2 in general or just the V8's. As far as the V8's go this has been a much argued topic for years. Unlike the SuperTourers, the guys had no help whatsoever from V8Supercar drivers and teams in regard to the handling of these. Until now! Word is a RL driver had a test at the GC event over the weekend and has provided some feedback. Will keep you posted when I get all the info on this.
