One of my favorite tracks lives up to its reputation. Race 1 went to hell a couple of times. Running third (maybe fourth) I tapped a tire barrier ever so slightly and it slowed me up enough that Jeff couldn't avoid hitting me. After letting nearly everyone by I was out of the top ten. I clawed back some spots and was reeling in #7 and #8 when I pushed too hard and screwed myself...it went to hell quickly after that.
Race 2 was much better. After the early incidents I slotted into second behind Boza and just tried to keep him sight. I thought Jason was worse off than he was and was shocked to see him slot in between me and Boza as we exited the pits. I saw I had a nice cushion to 4th so I just tried to take it easy and hold on for my first podium in the V8s. I need to savor this moment as it won't easily be repeated lol.

My 2 best races this season and I run out of fuel in race 1 and get disco'd in race 2. Oh well it went much better than I thought and still had fun.

Unusual result for me here. I struggled to find a happy setup with the car. Race 1 was going ok until 3 or 4 laps to the end when I locked up a rear at the end of the back straight, pitching the car into the wall tearing off the front end. It kinda went down hill from there and started dropping down the grid after clawing up to 7th.
Race 2 was very short. My first DNF in I can't remember how long w/ the V8s. After some contact with a Sportsman car in the short chute after T1, the car pitched into the wall, rolled and came to a rest on the hedges.....stuck. Oh well, we'll try again in 2 weeks. Cheers.

Congrats Zed on the podium finish. 1st half of the race you were on my arse!!! Hawks congrats for coming back from where you were!! Like Zed I was shocked to see you right behind me after I pitted. I was lucky to have a head start( thanks Jeff ) cause you would of left all of us with the pace you had. The last lap I felt like shark bait, I knew at any moment you were going to make move and you did( that was nice move by the way). On the last hairpin you left a little opening and I kinda took advantage of it and got lucky. Fun race and hopefully I can keep getting starts cause that's only chance I have!!

My apologies to Ced, After you hit the wall I did not see you till it was to late, and I guess we both just let our cars coast for a second after the hit and they stayed hung up, so I goosed it and pulled you all the way around. Sorry about that.
I would have said something at that time, but I was not sure who you were till I watched the replay.

Race 2 was definitely the most exciting for me. Boza slingshot to the front (I think the guy had turbo on). Had a bump from behind at turn 1 and I tagged the wall, but was able to keep it going straight and hang onto 2nd. Got a good exit off Turn 8 and had the inside line going into Turn 9, but car behind me missed his braking point and tagged me again and this time I spun out. Luckily not much body damage, but could feel major flat spotting on the tires. Came out of that in 5th I believe and just tried to keep it off the walls until my pit at the halfway mark. During that first stint, I benefited from others mistakes and found myself in 3rd again, with Boza and Zed about 6 or 7 seconds ahead. I pit a lap before they did and as they came out of the pits, I somehow slotted in between them.
For the remainder of the race, I locked onto the back of Boza's car. He did a great job driving his line and as soon as I would get a run, he would go defensive and slam the door. Not many passing opportunities. Kept pushing and on the final lap, I had one chance to make a move. Exiting Turn 7 I was able to get a good run and took the inside line heading to the right hander at turn 8. Got my nose to his passenger door entering the corner and threw it into first gear to make the corner while leaving him room (didn't want to wreck us both obviously). A little touch door to door and took the lead. Just 3 corners to go! Turn 9, then 10. One last corner to go! Glanced in the mirror and saw him about 2 car lengths back going to the hairpin. Threw it in first gear and as I made the turn, Boza dove in. Obviously 2 cars can't go through that corner at the same time and this pushed my car into the outside wall. Boza's car then went sideways in front of me and with nowhere to go, just had to wait for him to get moving again and finished 2nd.
Definitely got the adrenaline going that last lap. Congrats to Boza and Dan on the sweep of both Pro and Sportsman class. I had an absolute blast.
Looking forward to Interlagos. A very fast, flowing track with a few more passing opportunities.

I usually don't write to much after my races, but I will say I had a great time with you guys. All of you drive like real pros and that's great. I look forward to running many more races here. It's a very nice change of atmosphere.

Well done. We need a disclaimer that not every lap is like that!

"Gone Broke Racing - Come crash with us" Lol. Maybe these videos are giving us a bad rep. And most folks thought the "Gone Broke" was referring to money. Not anymore!

We may have had a few crashes, but it was still a fun time. I can't remember the last time I had that much fun racing.
