I've got GTA 5 on PS3, so I will wait for PC and community mods. But it sure looks better on XB1 and PS4 from what I've seen. I have GTA 5 pre-loaded on my Xbox One. I will report on it as soon as I can get some time on it tomorrow night.

Hmmm... I'd preload but my HD is getting full... I had the same problem before I got COD Advanced Warfare, Halo Collection and GTA 5. Then I saw a USB 3.0 portable 1 TB hard drive on sale at Costco for $65. I hooked it up to my Xbox One, problem solved.

I know I did that on the 360 and it would only read 16GB.

You sir, are dedicated. I played some Tropico5 last night. SimCity w/o the EA bugs.

I also finally got an Xbone. Picked it up last Friday after work. So far, I only have Diablo III, Forza Horizon 2, and Assassins Creed which came with it. I pre-ordered Far Cry 4 and GTA V which I will be picking up at lunch today.
One thing I don't like about Microsoft is they are always changing things. The new controller is very close to the 360 controller, but the thumbsticks are a little bit smaller in diameter. I use Kontrol Freeks on all my controllers and the ones from the 360 don't fit, so I had to order some new ones.
I thought it was nice that you could plug in your cable box and watch tv, but I can't get that to work either. I plugged in the cable box and ran the tv setup. The Xbone said it detected a signal and wait up to 12 seconds, but the picture never showed up. I have an old tv with only 1 HDMI input, so I was hoping it would work. I ended up using component cables to hook the cable box to the tv.
My tv is only 720P, so I'm not seeing much difference in picture quality. I do notice that there are a lot quicker load times now. I played Diablo III on the 360 and have a huge difference in load times going from one section to another. I also like that you can pause the game and turn off the console. I guess it goes into sleep mode similar to PCs. The console also turns on much faster.
So far I like it.

I can't wait until my kids are old enough so I can buy a new console under the guise that it's for them!

I've never pretended that my console buying is for the kids even when they were at the age when it should have been for them. My wife accepts that I am the biggest kid in the house and when I buy games and consoles, they are for me.

All the Playstation consoles in the house have always been mine but the kid was allowed to play them. And apparently wear them out too, I've had to replace the optics drive and just lately the HD in my PS3. Last year he bought his own XBox 360 just before the XBox One came out because all his friends had 360's then of course like we told him they all switched to the XBox One so a month later he buys that. So couple of weeks ago we told him we'd buy the 1 month old XBox 360 from him that's been just sitting in the basement boxed up for the last year. My first experience with XBox so big learning curve.

She's the one that bought me my 360 and the M$ wheel. It's the fact that all of my hobbies wind up costing a lot if money.

You just connect it to one of the three USB 3.0 ports on the Xbox One and the console does the rest. Easy peasy.

Most of the consoles in my house were bought for me. My wife has no problem with that, she even waited out in the cold with me last Thanksgiving night so I could pick up an Xbox One at Best Buy. When I traded in a bunch of gaming stuff last year, including two Xbox 360s (had them for triple screen Forza 4), I did get the kids a Wii U. Yes, I play it, but it is primarily for them. I also gave my 5 1/2 year old son my Xbox 360, which he uses to play the Lego games, Disney Infinity and Skylanders. I get the gamerscore, since he plays using my gamertag. Its why you guys sometimes see me on there playing one of these kids games. Its usually not me, its my son. I do like to play co-op Skylanders with him. My favorite guy is Tree Rex. I am going to get him Skylanders Trap Team for his birthday next month and yes, I will play it with him.
I have no plans to give either of my kids my Xbox One. Rather, if there were games on it I would let them play (right now there are none), I would either let them use mine or I would buy a second Xbox for them.

Consoles are a joint purchase (and if needed, a joint wait in the cold for Day One purchase ) in my house. No kids but my wife plays LEGO games to 100% completion so she's using it more than me. In fact, I can always tell which is her controller because the rubber nubs on the joystick are polished smooth.
