He has a server running for anyone that wants to test it. I may jump on in a little bit. No password required.

I was getting some weird glitches and lockups, but then remembered all the little rF1 tweaks. I did the +fullproc +highprio trick, the 4gb patch, and Wombats Nvidia fix. These really help make the game run much smoother and able to load a grid of 40 cars.

That's a good reminder to all especially the new league members who don't know the tricks... keep a clean rF1 folder with all the tweaks and plugins installed and don't forget your controller and PLR customizations. For new mods, make a copy of that folder and install the mod to that copy. Then all you need to do is create a shortcut with the +fullproc (and others you may wish to use) switch.

I was too tired last night to motivate myself to even download it. I will do it over the weekend.

You will need to install it over a fresh install of rFactor lite. I only have 1 RF1 install now with tons of mods in it and I just installed it right to there and it's working fine. So I'm not sure about the fresh install theory.

I think most of us run rfactorlite and then drop the mod into that install. This was how I was taught to do it because sometimes mods would conflict with one another and not play nice. So for every mod you have an install for it. I probably have 15+ different installs for rfactor, 1 for each mod. Spazter did a great video tutorial on doing this.

You will need to install it over a fresh install of rFactor lite. I only have 1 RF1 install now with tons of mods in it and I just installed it right to there and it's working fine. So I'm not sure about the fresh install theory. Some mods get along... some don't. We've determined that it's a good practice not to mix them due to potential conflicts. For example, some mods will overwrite core files. Race2play will refuse to host mods that do this... We do not check for this. As well, you may want different gfx settings per mod. For example, ORSM V8 can be run at max quality. Enduracers may require some users to turn down details. Anyway, there's no requirement either way... keep on truckin' if you're not having problems. When (or if) you do (like the day that a F1 mod install corrupted my rFactor), remember this as part of troubleshooting. rF2 has largely solved this although I know of at least one mod that broke people's installs but that has been fixed (it was a issue with the mod having too many characters in its description).

You're 100% right about some mods not getting along with others, but since I very rarely drive RF1 anymore, I'm not going to worry about it. Like you say, no problems, I'll just leave it alone. I can't even tell you how many times I've done re-installs for RF1.

played with it for a few minutes. the ffb seems off to me. I feel bumps but not when tires are losing grip. Anyone else getting this?

I initially tried it with Real Feel on and it didn't feel right. I then went back to the default (level 4 I think) and it felt much better. Did you try reversing your ffb in game Dave? I had to do that when I first loaded it.

The first thing I always do is turn RF in so maybe I should it without. I did have to reverse it. May it was clipping and that's why I didn't feel the detail. I'll play with it later.

If this is good enough that we want to do an exhibition over the holiday then let me know and I can set up the server.

I think it is good enough. The physics are pretty good and seems to have quite a bit more grip than the Blancpain mod. I'm still messing with a few different settings. There is another unfinished 2014 TUSCC/VECH mod that I've been following for a long time. The main modder disappeared, so one of the guys released it to try to get help finishing it up. The sounds and physics seem even better in that one, but it's not done (if it will ever get done). I already stole the Vette sounds from that one for this version as it sounds gnarlier. Comparison: WESTUSCC

Here are the tips Jason came up with for the Blancpain mod to reduce the bouncing in the cockpit. These settings work great for this mod too. TIPS Recommended configs for head movements (from the developer) Step 1 - You must set a specific line in .PLR, Go to your rFactor instalation and open the folder "UserData\yourName_or_nickname\.....PLR" Open the file with the notpad, and edit to 0 all the lines like the example below: Cockpit Vibration Mult1="0.00000" // Primary vibration multiplier affects eyepoint position (base magnitude is in VEH or cockpit file) Cockpit Vibration Freq1="0.00000" // Primary rate of vibration affects eyepoint position (higher framerates allow higher rates) Cockpit Vibration Mult2="0.00000" // Secondary vibration multiplier affects eyepoint orientation (base magnitude is in VEH or cockpit file) Cockpit Vibration Freq2="0.00000" // Secondary rate of vibration affects eyepoint orientation Step 2 - Now you must edit some parameters ingame, in the main menu go to "Customize\settings\controls\rates" Step 3 - Now to have the best experience, sounds were made to play with these rates. You can lower the special effects by 10% increments if you experience higher transmission and shifts sounds.
