I was getting some weird glitches and lockups, but then remembered all the little rF1 tweaks. I did the +fullproc +highprio trick, the 4gb patch, and Wombats Nvidia fix. These really help make the game run much smoother and able to load a grid of 40 cars. I have never installed this 4 gig patch "EVER" and not able to figure out how the hell to install this exe. I also want to know if I can even benefit from it as I am running Win Vista 32. I am a racer not a computer genius, can anyone help me out here? Thanks in advance

4gb PatchUnZip the exe file and place it in the root directory of Rfactor. Right click on it and choose "run as admin". From there you will find the rFactor.exe file for this mod and double click it. If done correctly a box will come up saying it was patched successfully. Wombats nVidia FixSimply place the d3d9.dll file in the root directory for rFactor that you are running the mod from. If you are using GID, you can rename the GID d3d9.dll to d3d9_2.dll.

About 32,000 feet over my head, Edit: Damn it still going in the same useless circles as when I tried to fumble through myself, no idea why its not working (I'm using 7zip by the way? ). I'll try again tomorrow, Im still wiped out from this death flu after my first day back to work in a week.

Here is the windows 32 bit version that you probably want. dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/43889266/wrar520.exe

Thanks Jason, sorry to be such a pain in the ass. Cheers.
The main problem stems from the cryptic & useless window that microshaft throws up, it wont let me direct it to my rF exe (like its hidden?)

I've been struggling with the FFB in this mod to the point that I was ready to give up on it. This is not the RealFeel issue that was discovered a couple of weeks back. This is a FFB dead zone in the center of the wheel's rotation. It made the cars feel terrible when changing directions, almost like the suspension was setup very poorly. I spent a few minutes with Jeff (thanks, Jeff) and confirmed that all of my FFB settings were okay...I even deleted and reinstalled the mod.
I started looking through config files and found the following line in the Controller.ini file: So there it is. This number creates a FFB "neutral" zone to prevent the oscillation you sometimes get in mods. I changed it to zero and it was SO much better. I only played with it for a couple of minutes because it was late, but now I think I can drive the car with confidence.
There is also the following line:
It may be worth playing with that setting too, but I need a few days to play with it further.
Anyway, if you feel like your steering is dead 2-3 degrees to either side of center, try changing that setting. As usual, backup the file before you edit it, just in case.

Why dose the ProAm GT class do 180Mph while the PRO GTLM only dose 175? ProAm is the lower class. But at least we have proof that the GTLM and the PC do have the same top end.

I'm only a casual fan of the series but have read some articles regarding the classes used. The GTLM class uses the ACO GTE specifications, which are used in various series including the WEC, ELMS, etc. Essentially it is the class from the 24 Hours of Le Mans race. They have a Pro and Am class but use the same cars.
The GTD class is a mix of the previous American Grand Am and ALMS classes. It looks like they are changing the spec to the FIA GT3 cars starting next year.
That being said, the two classes were not really "designed" by the same governing body. I assume that the GTD cars are getting those top-speeds due to the lower down-force. I haven't looked at lap time differences but I'd guess the down-force allows the GTLM cars to get faster times.
It's sometimes hard to believe everything on the web. I read the actual FIA WEC regulations yesterday regarding ABS and TCS in the GTE class (remember, same as GTLM) and it does not allow ABS but allows engine-derived TCS. I just read something elsewhere claiming that TCS is not permitted in the Tudor series' GTLM cars...which one is it?? lol
