Fun race tonight guys, thanks for putting that on.
Even with the late start and a few technical issues, I think it was well worth running, and am looking forward to the next exhibition and the short series to hopefully fallow.

My first race with this Mod. I enjoyed a lot. Not only because I won the race, of course.  On my end I had no problems at all, no frame rates issues, no lock ups. All went well. I know some people are having troubles in get this Mod working, not only here at GBR. But to me works flawless. Race was fun, good battles, but I think I got the strategy right and that worked on my favour. Looks like John and Jeff had some problems aswell. Great race by Sheldon. Quite a strong drive and very nice race managment. Well done. For sure I would be up for more.  |

I know some people are having troubles in get this Mod working, not only here at GBR. But to me works flawless. No problems at all for me either either than a stutter when cars crash which is not unusual in rF1 mods with a lot of detail. I did notice the textures on Tony's Ferrari were messed up but I won't worry about that until the next update of the mod as it's only one car. |

Mod and server seemed to run great for me this evening. My race however, wasn't so great. After messing with some settings, realized that I could possibly make it without stopping. Was getting .7 gal/lap and figured it would be 34 laps, which was exactly what my fuel tank would hold, 23.8 gallons. Threw on hard tires and off I went. I figured folks would be able get by that were running softs or mediums, so tried not to fight it too much hoping my strategy would pan out and maybe get me a podium. Wasn't meant to be. On lap 7 was chasing around David with Johan closing in after he had an earlier spin I believe. Braking into turn 5, Johan carried a bit too much speed and clipped my left rear, causing me to spin a 180. Would have been ok, but as my car came around, his right front hit my right rear tire and flattened it. Hopes of a top 5 over at that point. Limped it back to the pits and took on about 55 seconds of damage plus fuel and tires. Threw on mediums and just tried to run consistent laps and ended up 11th. Not the result I was hoping for, but still had a good time. I really like the mod and am hopeful that it will turn into a series. I love this Vette and plan on sticking with it for the time being. So dammed annoyed I could not race this. My internet at home went off last night and I could not get it going again, so could not even cancel my entry here beforehand.
I hope that there will be another one sometime soon.

I'm happy I sorted my FFB woes and joined the race. I had fun in the couple of scraps I had. Well done to the podium.
As far as a series goes, for those who weren't on: I am planning a short season that will carry us through the V8 break. I am thinking six races to start. The only way I can afford to run the series is to do it as much as possible away from V8s (I like having an off-week).
To that end - save the date - the series MAY start on 2/11 with possibly another exhibition on 1/28. STAY TUNED

Had a great time even though I spent the entire race pretty much alone. I really enjoyed this mod and I only goofed once exiting the pits after my 1 scheduled pitstop. I hit the wall (barely) and my right front was screwed. I nearly took out Tony because I didn't realize my tire was ruined. Limped back to the pits to fix it and dropped 2 places.
Really hoping the technical issues can be resolved, would love to run this series.

So I never did get my car going last night. I just couldn't get any speed out of it. If it's alright, I think I'm going to try a few different cars and most likely make a change.
Having said that, it was fun while it lasted. Had a few good races. Mostly with Dan and David early. Once I made a major mistake at T1 and hit the wall, my car was even worse. Then I got stuck in the grass and blew the engine.
It's always great fun racing with you guys. Looking forward for more with this mod.

Great race it was. May I suggest that if we use that track again we eliminate turn 1. Looking forward to a series with these cars.

Scott I didn't have much speed either but man I was having a blast racing you for 13th or whatever spot it was, we were much pretty back and forth for first half until we both had our issues.
I guess you could definitely call mine a HUGE rookie mistake right after I exited the infield road course on to the banking I met to hit the request pit stop button and I accidently shifted into Neutral doing about 150 mph and well it ended badly lol
Thanks for letting me come out and race with you guys though these cars are so much fun to drive and I cant wait to run more races over here
