Couldn't make the race, so I was watching on LiveRacers. Did a double take when I saw Sheldon in 2nd w/ less than 10 minutes to go. Congrats Angelo on the win. Tony & John looked like they had a hell of a last lap, trading 3rd place half a dozen times. Hopefully I can make the next one...but work is starting to get a little crazy.

I'm happy I sorted my FFB woes and joined the race. I had fun in the couple of scraps I had. Well done to the podium. As far as a series goes, for those who weren't on: I am planning a short season that will carry us through the V8 break. I am thinking six races to start. The only way I can afford to run the series is to do it as much as possible away from V8s (I like having an off-week). To that end - save the date - the series MAY start on 2/11 with possibly another exhibition on 1/28. STAY TUNED I'm definitely in but will be on my winter holiday from Feb 19th to March 6th. Thanks for the racing last night guys, I had a blast. Well done to Angelo and Sheldon on a seemingly impossible strategy that netted 2nd place in the final laps. Loved the battles with Boza, Dale, and John in the last few laps capped off with a photo finish. AWESOME fun. Now I have to figure out how to stretch my fuel and find a few more MPH top speed. In a ride along with Jeff in Practice I saw 179 MPH and was unable to draft the corvettes at all no matter how close.

I really enjoyed racing again with you all. Had a good race with Dan until That Damm wall jumped out at me. 1:54 seconds pit stop. But decided to finish the race any. Tried to gain on Rob but started to get sloppy at the end, Not used to staying up that late, I'm ready for a series to start up. Good fun!! Greg

One thing I like to do in exhibitions is run different strategies than normal. I one-stopped on soft tires and ran with full boost. That hurt me a bit as I spent almost a minute in pits (including the time to overshoot the first pit stall {I wish tracks would allocate pits from the furthest stall first}).
Next time I'm back to normal, harder tires and fuel conservation!
The next time we race these will be totally different anyway as I imagine we'll be on a more normal track... Daytona is like Le Mans and not typical.

... May I suggest that if we use that track again we eliminate turn 1... 60 minute drag race

Remember when we did that V8SC race at Indy?
