Anyone willing to do a skin on either an Aston or Viper for me? I would like to run a similar skin to either the Wright Tools or Dyson Racing (preferred) skins w/ #135 that I ran in the last couple seasons of the OSRM V8 Supercars we ran.
Also Angelo had a request in the first post, though may want to verify if his car choice has changed for the season or not.
Done..

I'm not sure who all is painting for this. But Angelo had already changed cars before I finished with Jason's paint, so I ignored it and moved on to Jeff's.
Because the templates I have worked on so far have had some weird issues, I am only taking on one car at a time. So when I get Sheldon's done, if no one claims to do yours, I'll look into it. But I can't make any promises.

So, I'm trying my first shot at a skin and think that I almost have it, but RF doesn't seem to be reading the DDS file the way that I'm seeing it when editing it in GIMP. Here's what I see and what I've saved in GIMP, along with the DDS settings used: When I bring up the car in rFactor, the color is in B&W (except for the wheels) and the graphics are skewed around: Have any of you guys seen this? I've tried re-exporting the GIMP .XCF file again, but am seeing the same things. Here's a link to the files I'm using if anyone wants to take a closer look: dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/458218/JoeBenton%2315.zip

Ok, nevermind the last post. I tweaked in the .VEH file and restarted RF again and it looks much better now... ...and here's the view you'll see of me...just before you pass me...

Nice work Joe, but why do you have a .veh file for it? Skins do not require a .veh file. Just a folder called skins in the same area as the car you chose.
The .veh file adds a new team to the mod. Not saying you did it wrong, but the difference between added skins and added teams are quite a lot.
If someone drops in with out a skin, they will just see the original car, if they drop in with out a team (.veh) it will cause mismatches, and may not work anyway if the server dose not have a copy of it. Bad thing is, the mismatch may not show up till the server goes to qually or race.
Most of us use this setting when saving .dds ( DXT5 ARGB 8 bpp | interpolated alpha ) but that is in my photoshop, not sure how it reads in Gimp.

@ Angelo, need to know which team your BMW will belong to from the game so I can get the skin folder in it. And if you have any other shots of that car from another angle, it would help.
@ Chris, Need to know which car and the team it belongs to also. And what team was the V8 skin on, and the skin name so I can look it up for reference.
