Something I noticed about this mod is that the alpha channel is ignored it seems. So if saved as DXT5 with alpha, the skin is about 5 MB which is bigger than the stock skins that have no alpha and are maybe DXT1 or DXT3. I didn't bother messing around and just used DXT5 because I wanted 8 bpp.
If this thing takes off for a Season 2 then we may want to consider this again.
