I had a great race 1. I was happy to be able to keep up with Dale for the entire race, he would get away on the straights but I would catch him in the corners. I was not able to duplicate my practice time and get into the 1:20's again but I blame some of that on racing in the LMP2 cars for an hour the night before.
I am looking forward to another V8 season.

Really enjoyed the car, The track, not to bad. These cars don't have the grip of the FVR cars in rF2, but they sure look better and don't have all the graphical glitches. But they are way more drivable then the ORSM cars. They don't tend to go around every time the rears lose traction, you can actually drive out of it.
So for me, this is the best V8 mod so far.
Looking forward to more races with this mod.

Good racing last night. Felt good to get behind the wheel of my virtual race car again. Race 1 I spun the tires on takeoff and dropped immediately to 4th. Had a great 4 way battle for the lead for the first 2/3's of the race with Angelo, Jeff and Rich. Jeff and Rich went with softs and both ended up getting flats. Couldn't quite close the gap enough to be a serious threat to Angelo and finished 2nd. Race 2 was a different story. I got a great start and opened up a 3 or 4 car length lead. But about halfway through the lap the cold tires caused me to go wide and Angelo snuck by. Around lap 10 we started to get into some lapped traffic and Angelo got held up for a split second on the front straight. He did a good job getting by and we were side by side heading into turn 1. He was on the inside line which isn't the place to be and his car pushed wide through the corner and I managed to get by. From there on I just tried not to muck it all up. The hard tires felt pretty good even at lap 20. I pit on lap 22 I believe and threw on a set of softs and was able to hold on. Really competitive driving by all and a lot of fun. I think we leaned that softs only last a few laps especially when pushing hard. The hards seemed to hold up well even at x2 tire wear. One thing I noticed and mentioned it during the race is the brake lights are hard to see on the other cars. Made it tough to drive real close. That being said, the cars handled really well and even upon giving and taking some contact, it didn't upset the car too bad. That is what make this series so fun in my opinion.

I don't recall having an issue with seeing the break lights, dimmer then usual, but i could still see them.

The only time I could see Dale's were when I was around a car length behind him. If I was any further away they were too dim to see.

This were my first races with those Aussie V8s. Including all Mods of it. I quite enjoyed, very intense ones. The RSM physics felt good, so all in all a good experience. I imagine would be quite fun if we get some 15, 17 drivers, each race. Would be even better if RSM update the Mercedes and Volvo models in good time. Definetly a Mod worth keeping it.

Hey guys,
After the race, quite a few folks spoke up and said they were interested in running another exhibition. There were a couple tracks thrown out there. One mentioned was Bathurst. While this is the most iconic track at GBR, I'm a bit hesitant to run it with only 10-12 guys likely to turn out. If we do end up using this mod for a series, of course Bathurst will be on that list.
Someone else mentioned Watkins Glen. A couple other tracks we haven't run for awhile include Portland International Raceway (aka Vanport) and Oulton Park. Let's try to nail down a track that most guys will enjoy and I'll set up another exhibition soon.

Hi guys, great to see that most people enjoyed racing our mod and you might be using it again. I have had feedback from our series about the brake lights too, so I will have a look I to it and try and find a way to make them more obvious without looking fake. Feel free to contact me with any other feedback too.
Cheers, RSM Carr

Watkins or Oulton Park would be good.

Melbourne is a great track, but it's well over 3 miles and I have the same concern as I do with Bathurst with only about 10 guys turning out.
I think we should give Oultan Park a run. It's only about 2 1/2 miles per lap and has a really good flow to it. I think we've only run it 1 time with the V8s if memory serves me right.
