Atlanta Motorsport Park is a Tilke-designed club racing track. It's tight, tricky and well suited to small cars. If you've never run here before, note the trackside markers. All apexes are marked as well as (I think) turn in points. So we're going to do a fun club racing day with two very short races to set the field for the main event. We will use the Trackday MP Palatov. I recommend turning off the heat haze in the Tuning menu. It looks bad and may impact framerate.  DATE: Tuesday, August 18, 2015 TIME: Very short quali session starts at 7:15 PM Pacific / 10:15 PM Eastern, Races begin promptly after 5 minute warmup. SIM: rFactor 2, Build 982 DOWNLOAD HEREMOD: ISI Palatov D4 v1.0 - Trackday MP car DOWNLOAD HERETRACK: Atlanta Motorsport Park v1.0 full layout DOWNLOAD HEREQUALIFICATION: Race 1: 3 laps private. Race 2 grid from Race 1 finish. Race 3 grid from Race 2 finish. FLAGS: Black Flags Only. LENGTH: 2 x 5 laps, 1 x 20 laps PIT: No mandatory pit stop required FUEL: normal TIRES: normal DAMAGE: 50% DRIVING AIDS: Auto Clutch, Low TCS Setups/Tuning: Open Server is up. |

I downloaded this car last night and took it for a spin at Atlanta motorsport. Man these things are a blast! It's like a motorcycle powered go cart. I love the motorcycle engine and power it puts out for this tiny car.
I have a question, which version are we running? There are 4 to choose from. I picked the multiplayer car last night.

I haven't decided yet. I'm shooting for a fun night so probably the car you tested. I'll look at it over the weekend perhaps.

Yeah, soon. This new release seems stable plus my workload has just eased up as of the end of this week. I'll look at my calendar and propose a couple of dates.

Note, under the Advanced tuning tab... you have Slicks available as well as DOT tires. I'm not sure what is faster over a short race distance as it's hard to get heat into the slick tires.

I had hoped to give this a go but the current build is a stuttering chop fest on my PC. If I have to turn stuff down any more to atari level graphics I'm out, lol.
