one of my favorite tracks but I am traveling that day. my flight gets in after 9 so doubt I will be home in time. I wanted to get into this series but real life has other plans.

Indeed great track, really challenging.
I just wish we had a version with different graphics and textures, to make look it modern.
At least for me the way it is, racing with those new Corvettes feels like something out of place, or sort of... Once I raced the F1s 67s on this track with rF1, I think 2011...and felt just right.
Anyway, good fun.

IT'S RACE DAY BOYS! Let's see if we can have a finish in the Corvettes as close as it was in Daytona last weekend. The current practice times are showing some very close times between the fastest guys. Current practice time results Rich Minkler
| 1:59.286
| Angelo dos Santos | 1:59.346 | Jeff Hooper | 1:59.954
| Jimmy Regan | 2:02.456
| Scott Beck | 2:04.450
| Todd Alan | 2:11.922 | Edward Durbin | 2:16.493 |
I know if Dale, Chris and Dan show up the middle of the field will be tight.

I'll be there. Hope I can pick the track up pretty quick. It's been forever since I've run here.

I suck at this track. Always have. I'll be at the back hoping for a mechanical issue and early trip to the pits for an ice cream bar.

I am sure Chris and Dale will do just fine in race 2. I am sure they will run softs for 19 laps and have 50% left on each tire!

Great racing last night. Race 1 for me was very bad. I hit the wall on turn 1 and fooked my steering. 98 seconds to repair the damage but at least my steering was straight. Race 2, Holy crap, Race 2. I've never been involved in that close of a race with another driver for that long. Usually I will push too hard and mess myself up, or the guy I am chasing will mess up and I will get by. But not last night. David was pretty much perfect on every lap, as was I. Neither of us got too wide on a corner or missed a braking point. I was probably 1/2 a second or less behind him on just about every lap. I was about 1.5 to 2 seconds ahead of Scott and then all of a sudden, out of nowhere he is filling up my rearview mirror and right behind him was Dale. I have no idea how they caught us but I just stayed focused on David. The closest I ever got was on 1 corner I was able to get inside but we headed into a long straight and my extra downforce was too much and he was able to stay ahead of me. I hope I saved that replay because I would love to watch that again. Thanks David for probably the best, closest race I have had.
Thanks to everybody that came out to this crazy track. It seems Canyelles is a love it or hate it kind of thing, but it seems by the end of the night everybody really liked the track. Congrats to Angelo for the wins and to all of the guys on the podium.

What a great night of racing. I just love that track. Race 1 wasn't anything for me to cheer about. Just ok. Started 9th, finished 7th.
Race 2 was much better. I started out just taking it easy to save tires because I knew I'd need them at the end. But after half way I've never had a battle like that before with David, Jimmy and Dale. It was awesome! With a few laps to go though, my spotter started telling me I didn't have enough fuel to finish the race. I really didn't want to pit, so I started short shifting and slowed way down. I think I could have made it to the end, but I got to nervous about running out, so I stopped on the last lap. Lucky for me I had no damage, so it wasn't a bad pit stop as far as time goes. Funny thing is I went a lap down while in the pits, so I finished the race as I left my pit and crossed the finish line in pit lane and got 6th. Not as good as I hoped, but I'll take it. I really like these Corvettes. Can't wait for the next race. Again, it's great driving with all you guys!

Race 1 I was still finding my way...which was evident by the traffic jam behind me. Race 2 was a bit of a disappointment. I started getting comfortable around the track, but the 2 early pit stops killed any hopes for a decent finish.
