Hey guys, just a friendly reminder about Tuesday night. Some of us will be running the 10:45 pm EST race. I believe it's a Monza. Should be a fun race once carnage at the first chicane is over.

I'll probably be there. But it will likely be my usual hop in and drive.

I found a good track guide and a couple of setups for this week. I have not tested these setups yet, so use at your own risk. I believe the track guide will be very helpful to get up to speed a lot quicker. The first setup was posted with the track guide. Here are the setups: CS_ARUK_CommunitySetup_Monza.sto (1.25 KB) FR20_Monza_2016s2_JSoto_Q.sto (1.1 KB) Here is the track guide:

Thanks for that, Troy. I will try that set up in a practice session tonight. Boza and I ran some practice laps last night and I had totally forgotten you had posted this. We did quite a few laps and settled on a set up but, TBH, it gets a little too loose in one spot - the exit of Ascari. It could just be the line I'm taking through there (probably is). Boza and I then got to running the SM in a practice session. That series is at the Nurburgring GP this week. Damn, that's a fun car! boza - I ran the 11:45am (EST)session today in the SM and grabbed 4th spot. I was car #5, qualified 6th an then hung in there for a P4 finish when both guys ahead of me spun out on lap 7 of an 11 lap race. I held them off after that. Only 3 incidents. I ran in the 1:55's with one or two laps in the high 1:54's. It was good fun. I used that set up I shared with you.

We will see if I make it. I have a meeting that may run late so it all depends if I get home in time to run some practice.

I tested the first setup today (the CS_ARUK one). I think it was a qual setup because it only had 2 gallons of fuel. I just filled it to 5.9 gallons and ran it. It was very stable. I was able to go flat out on the exit of Ascari no problem. My best lap was a 1:50.900. I can't remember the exact track temp, I think it was somewhere around 105 F.
I made one change to the setup. I reduced the cambers slightly because the insides of the tires were getting too hot.

Another fun night last night. My race went well. I wound up only losing one spot after lap 1. I let the crazies go and gain a few so only losing one spot was great. I just kept a steady pace and gained three spots due to attrition. I'll take a P5 in the second split any day!
I am so sleepy today though.

Well done, Dave. I had a good night as well. Started 19th or 20th and finished 8th. There were some serious incidents in our split resulting in some serious attrition. Unfortunately, Boza's race was ended at the start. Troy was closing in on me at the end. Had he not gotten trapped behind slower cars mid race he definitely would have gotten by me. So 8th and 9th for GBR in that race.
Ascari turned out to be the most dangerous spot in our split. All sorts of problems. The 1st chicane was bad but Ascari was far worse. Interesting.

Not much in my race of interest. I was as high at 9th due to avoidance of incidents but had no pace on this track temperature. I was 3-4 sec/lap slower than my practice times. Eventually I slipped to 14th I think.

The 1st chicane was bad but Ascari was far worse. I had a huge run on Dale coming out of Ascari and almost tripped over the back of his car which likely would've ended both of our races.

I am iffy for next week. I have an early flight the next morning and I have been exhausted after a night of racing. I will see how I feel on Tuesday. Would hate to miss it even though Atlanta is not one of my better tracks.
