Been loving this car. I ran an impromptu race last night at 10:45 as well. Lot's of carnage. I was ranked 20th, started 18th because I had to abort my quali run because my SimVibe wasn't working. Finished 10th by keeping my nose clean. Only 1 incident and that was an off track to avoid a wreck.

I didn't mention this in my OP but that .pdf is actually the entire 2016 S2 race schedule. The Formula Renault 2.0 schedule is on page 32. Very nice selection of tracks.
@zed - good to hear that you enjoy the car as well. I have a ninth place finish at Zandvoort this week as my best performance there. Surprising for since I am not that familiar with the track and I started 16th in the top split. I believe the SOF (Strength of Field) was 2600+, or something like that. I'll take it. Phillip island is next. Love that track. Going to have to run low DF set up there. Do you have the track?

I did a race at Zandvoort last night. Really high SOF over 3100. I was the #19 car of 22 which I'm not used to. But the car # was spot on. I started 22 of 22 and finished 18th. Really fun car to drive. In between the Skippy and Star Mazda. The setup I downloaded made the car very controllable.
I didn't have much practice before the race. My qual time was almost 4 seconds off the pace. I kept getting faster throughout the race and my best race lap was only about 2.5 seconds off pace. It seems like you can push the car a lot harder then you think and the brakes are phenomenal.
I will keep running it. I will try to make the Tuesday night races with you guys, but that will really be depending on perfect traffic going home from work. I might be able to bring my laptop to work and get signed up before going home. I will try that tomorrow.

Maybe I'll try tomorrow if I get enough time to practice. I know PI very well so all I have to do is learn the car.

Got some practice in after work. Great car/track combo, it really flows. I was 7th in my practice session out of over 30 who recorded a lap. Here is the setup I am using. 16S2 Phillip Is R.sto (1.23 KB)

Thanks Troy, I'll try that. I got some good practice with the baseline today.

I brought my laptop to work so I can sign up for the 10:45pm EDT race before I go home. I will probably get into the session just in time to qualify. Hope to see you guys there.

That was awesome! Six of us running that race at the same time. 3 in each split was very cool. That car at that track is a very fun combination. Thanks to everybody who came out. See you all next week.

My split was a wreckfest. It sounded like Dale got caught up in it. I must've drove through 3 wrecks/spins on the first lap alone. I just let cars go as they got alongside, having 0 confidence with anyone on the grid (aside from Dale), but also because I was still feeling out the car and didn't want to rearend anyone. Brakes were definitely my weak point last night. I had 1 off track when I had to skirt off the outside of T2 when a car re-entered the track after running wide @ T1, then came immediately over to the right side (racing line) for T2 before he was up to speed. Dropped back to 13th because of it. Had fun working back up through the field, even forcing a couple errors to gain positions. Ended up P7 after a last lap pass (on another forced error). I got lucky missing all the carnage in the first couple laps which meant I had an undamaged car to race with later in the race. As I got more comfortable in the car, my lap times fell down into the 1:28s. I'm really happy with this car. It could use a little more speed...but it's not bad. I was hoping for a detuned Williams F1...and it feels like that's largely what I got. For the record I was running default tune w/ the tall gear & 25L (1/2 tank) of fuel since I picked up the car 15 minutes before the race.

The car felt fun at Phillip Island. I missed most of the action but got tangled with another car on Lap 3 and was slow with damage for the rest of the race. Coming into the little downhill hairpin I was looking forward because there was a yellow flag. I didn't notice a car trying to pass inside and our wheels touched.
I need a little more confidence in the braking because there were a lot of faster guys getting by me in the braking zones.

It was really cool having everyone in TS. That's the best part of it. I think I might be inclined to race any car/track combo if you guys are there. :-)
I hope Tuesday nights become a regular deal.

I need to assign some mute buttons though... at one point there was a lot of iR chatter plus two teams of GBR and I couldn't understand anything. I think I'll start muting iR by default.

I'm going to do a GBR skin for the car. I will post it up here for whoever is interested in running it on Tuesdays.
