Hey Kurupt,

I was feeling the same way you were about buying the game (especially since I took your advice and bought R07), but then I just figured that I'm not only buying the game, but the experience of racing with a bunch of guys who can make it a lot of fun. Such as Forza and 2old4Forza, the community is what makes the game worth while.

I ordered a copy from a amazon over the weekend and my delivery is expected next Tuesday... I'm hoping it will come sooner though

All your points are valid guys and appreciated...thnx! There's a guy at work that offered me a spare copy if he remembers to bring it awesome! If not ill wait to it lands in my lap, reason being is due to working midnite shift work 4x4 I won't get to run with any guys here, and on days off I get on around lunch and with kids I ll miss most of the league races cause they don't go to bed till 9. My gaming hrs suit the euro times best, I've done some research at race2play and a German site and they have tons of league races daily that I can run in.
@ knight race 07 offers all the same strategies, free Mods endless tracks + weather and I really just need a filler till pcars is released.

I don't need every race sim available on the market cause I won't play them all which is a waste of money that I could put back into pc upgrades. I just stick with one or two reason being is bouncing between multiple sims I find throws off your timing and overall skill because they have different physics and in end never allowing you to reach your full potential.

So if my buddy brings sweet! If not iam not gonna pay full price for it, but who knows will see how some 07 league races go it might force me to change my mind

Cool man, I don't get to run with the guys much either, only time is the Sunday races that fall in my late afternoon early evening , I curse the time zone thing...need Bash to invent a time machine. I guess I should look into racing in other leagues but I like to race with folk I am comfortable with and I know have an ethos I fit in with. I can also only do either iRacing or RTP with full membership...Yeah forgot 07 was basically the same engine, been meaning to pick it up myself.

You can run in most R2P events w/ a guest membership. I think the only events you can't enter are the Pro & Semi-Pro events. Paid members do have priority, so if a grid fills up, the lower on the pole you are, the earlier you'll be bumped. But that doesn't happen with most of the series. Just an FYI.

Yeah but if I want to run as GBR, and being the loyal puppy I am I would...I don't know, I will decide one way or the other when my iRacing subscription is due...I cant just expect folk to run the same set of cars and tracks forever so that may swing me the other way in the end. Also if Kurupt is running euro type times we may meet up there when I pick up Race 07...and he tunes sweet ;-)

Not sure what's going on but all my fresh installs are crashing for some reason?
Everything starts up fine but when I select tracks it either hangs or sends me back to my home screen?
The e92 & skoda Mods fire up tracks are there I can select but once I hit load the game turns off and sends me back to my home screen no crash report ?
The mustang mod loads all the tracks but on willow springs it loads than hangs when I alt/tab it says error missing db2 black engine part ?
I can load the mustang on that track just not the saleen ?
I've uninstalled all them and re loaded them with just the mod and tracks in both program x86 and in my documents but with the same results....any ideas?

Forgot to mention iam having the same crash as the skoda & e92 with the new f1 2012 mod u guys were testing today after the Porsche race

I've ran in admin....its the rf1 lite install iam using I haven't tried it without anything installed yet....but if its worth anything I used the same rf1 lite download that I put the Porsche mod on we ran today and it worked.
Also with the mustang mod I can load willow spring with the mustang just not the saleen....I tried a different skin and got the same error message.
Hope that info helps maybe ill try downloading rf1 lite again

I would maybe try a re-download of the mod. One of the files may have corrupted on the initial download. I've had that happen from time to time (mods & tracks) Aside from that, it's beyond my abilities. I'll leave it to the more computer savvy from here.

Are you using a centralized track folder or separate track folders within each mod's install?

Just using the dropbox links posted here in each race series download section....opened the file with winwar copied the gamedata folder to the rf folder....should I open the gamedata/locations folder and copy the tracks and paste them in the rf locations instead?
