Map your pedal axes. Double-click (I think) the text for Accelerator, press the pedal, then move on to the next one. When you're done make sure to save the profile.

Might need to do a quick re-map of the controls.
SETTINGS/CONTROLS/MAPPING (tabs to click to get there)
Just click on a control from the list, then press the corresponding control. Easy as pie. If that doesn't make sense, try to hook up w/ someone on TS for a walk-through. Sometimes it's a little easier that way.

I really wanna purchase this game so I can race with you guys since I don't have a gold membership, BUT iam finding it extremely hard to pull the trigger lol amazon has it for $20 + $12 for shipping says it will arrive between the 25-6 of Sept? $43 for express or $40 @ downloadgames .com...getting the game is the easiest part but paying $40 for a 5 yr old is pretty ridiculous especially after I just purchased the whole race 07 series for $20 and have a shit ton of mods....I only spent 30 mins with the demo to see how the physics were, basically is there Mods for better sound, graphics, and ffb settings? If there is that might make me pull the trigger I just can't justify $40 if there isint

Each of the mods stands on their own merit. Some are better than others for sounds physics, etc. Some of the mods work better with Reelfeel, others work better without. The graphics you have to live with. Its not Forza so the eye candy isn't going to be there.
I will say this though. There is a reason we are all playing the mods we do and continue to beat the drum about how fun this game is. I had no problem springing for the $40 for the game as I have more cars and more importantly tracks than I ever had paying 120 for the crap that is Forza 4.
Ultimately it will be up to you but if you are playing Race 07 predominantly, it might be kind of lonely on the track for you unless you are hitting up Race2Play for events.
Hope that helps.

The beauty of rFactor is once you pay for the game, the rest is free. Virtually limitless mods and you can race on any track you can think of.
If you are all about eye candy, then you will be disappointed. If you love good racing with excellent physics, then you will be pleased.
As we've said many times, the initial setup is a pain for most. Once you get it set up and working properly, it's pure gold. We are here to help you through it to make it as smooth as possible.
A great example is Fantamos. He was so frustrated he about threw in the towel. Last I heard, he just completed his 50th event over at Race 2 Play and is loving every minute of it.

Not to mention that we (and R2P) will likely be playing rF1 in league use for at least another 8-12 months. rF2 is a long way from being finished then there's the time for mods to be converted and then wait for everyone to buy it.
$40 for, say 8 months, is pretty cheap when you look at how many races you can do here and there.

iam not worried about eye candy, just wondering is there was any texture and sky mods available like there is in race 07...i think ill sit on it for a bit, ive found a few sites with lots of league races for race 07 and some great mods. I am signed up at race2play but not really down with monthly fees between the money i wasted on forza and all this new pc stuff shits getting expensive lol the wife is gonna have a sim intervention for me

Mate, I was the same iffy about the graphics, full price for an old game all that, but now? So glad I did. There is a depth to this game, so many ways to mess up a race, I have cocked up my fuel strategy and messed up pit a penalty, been blue flagged and black flagged. Then you start to get the hang of it, start calculating how many pit stops you need for a race, how much fuel for each stop...Tires? do you go soft for grip and speed with low fuel to get a good start and put in some flying laps, or go conservative and mediums and stay out longer or then again hards for a marathon first stint...can you take care of your tires and push them a little further than the rest?...it just goes on and on. Then of course there is racing in the dark...intense. Racing with GBR, worth the price of entry on it's own. The look of the Sim will grow on you, it's clean and sharp and some of the mods push it to it's limits. Push the button dude, I'm telling you you'll be glad you did
