Yea it does...I'll have to investigate it. I'm not big on Indy type cars or dtm or the stuff run at 24 lemons. I'm more classic muscle cars..stock cars and enjoying the v8 a they like a Nascar sorta...

Hmm, I have recently dropped over $150 on iRacing membership and content. I need to promise myself not to take on another racing sim.

Lol Craig...I hear ya. Too much to race...so little time. Or for some of us funds. I'd lone to give iracing a shot...just can't afford it.

I caved and spent the $30 to try this out last night. Still early (sorta like rF2), but the DX11 looks amazing already. Here is a test video I made using the DTM car.

Spaz, iRacing is pricey, and it requires a hefty rig to run it with all of the eye candy turned on. I am using a Core i52500K CPU and dual 560ti GPUs in SLI and I am still only getting 84 FPS. Granted, it runs silky smooth, but that is a lot of juice for those frames. I can tell you that you would love the Nascar, its light years ahead of Forza and Nascar the Game.

So, last night, I bought the $33 "investment" for Project C.A.R.S. I was able to download the game (1.5 GB, it took a while). Then, before I could play it, Paypal froze the transaction to do an "investigation." I did my part, by logging into my Paypal account and changing my password, etc., but now I have to wait, since WMD has frozen my registration. WTF???
Oh well, patience is a virtue...

I have been downloading the builds and patches when I can. Must say it is kinda exciting to get a new release every few days it seems Haven't spent a whole lot of time on it, but when I have been very impressed. Some of the car renderings are impressive to say the least. Plus driving a touring car around a kart track at Glencairn was quite entertaining Actually as far as realism goes that Glencairn track is an interesting contrast to GT5 kart tracks which in retrospect look bit too polished and hence a bit unreal.

That video @ Silverstone was really impressive! Hopefully something will come of the whole endeavor.
Cheers!

That video @ Silverstone was really impressive! Hopefully something will come of the whole endeavor. Cheers! Dark, I bought the full member edition (about $60), in part because I think Project CARS is the real deal. The force feedback and physics already feel light years ahead of what SMS did with Shift and Shift 2, and as you already can see, the graphics are shaping up as well. They already have a great roster of tracks, in some ways better than Forza's. The car selection is diverse (carts, open wheels, touring cars and exotics), but the number is still pretty low, ala iRacing. Its alpha code and so its still buggy, but overall, I am enjoying this. If you decide to run it, having a beefy PC is a plus. These kind of graphics take a lot of horsepower.
