Get rid of that grinding tranny plugin...it works like crap, and none of the organized series use it. I pulled mine out of the plugin folder, and think it's just sitting in the top level folder, so that it's effectively disabled. But I've still got it if I want to re-add it later. Another note, don't be discouraged if there are speed differentials in the classes. The class groupings aren't always all that even performance wise. The guys at efnet spend probably 100 hours per season testing cars to put together "equal" classes. But I think most are going into this as a "fun" event, so really it's pretty much irrelevant. I'll have to figure out what I want to run. Oh, if you want the DRM Mondays after this season is complete (final race this Monday) until the next season starts (in conjunction w/ the V8 season), let me know. More than happy to free it up if you want to run a couple of these.

As a starting point, I max out the negative camber and take a couple clicks out of rear springs. Usually gets me a decent base to start working from, for my driving style anyways. Then I'll play with tire pressures and tinker w/ spring rates a bit more if needed. I'll finish fine tuning ARBs & damping.

Thanks Chris. I definitely don't have the time to put together perfectly even fields so yes, this is for fun. If it works out I may do one other exhibition before trying a series. If any one car is dominant we can address it somehow, even add more car options. I know I won't be competitive since a few guys run the mod regularly...it is all about mixing it up.
I may take you up on the Monday DRM spot until the new season. We can run a mini series until a normal spot opens up. Fridays are open but I think attendance suffers since people go out Fri and Sat nights. I even found the schedule these cars actually ran in Europe and the Trans-Am where the muscle cars were added.
1971 looked like this... Monza Salzburg Brno Nürburgring Spa Zandvoort Paul Ricard Jarama

Heads up... we run a different Brno than what was used in 1971. The current circuit was opened in the mid-80's. In 1971, Brno was a 13.9 km public road course (and there have been a few more layouts of the road course). I found 1965 for rFactor which is the same layout as '71

How do you know all of this? LOL I found a 1965 version which was run until 1974. It is on NoGripRacing which I need to register at in order to download. If this goes into a series I am going to do my best to have period correct tracks. screen shot - looks like fun!

Our posts crossed. I will register there and test it. I really hope this series gains traction here.

How do you know all of this? LOL I know a little bit (that modern Brno was newer than the 70's). Google fills in the rest

I can't believe my lap times are close to yours.

I can't believe my lap times are close to yours. I am just a mid-pack runner at best with this group. I wouldn't be surprised if some guys get into the low 1:41's/ high 1:40's.

If that track is any good Zed, I want it. Post a link after you test it out.

The one F1 and I found is a GTL track. There is one out there since I have seen series speak of using it. Just looking for it now. I'll post it once found.
I'd like the tracks in the eventual series to be 60's or 70's based. Worst case is the 1979 tracks that we already have been using but my first choice is to replicate the actual schedule.

Got into the server for a bit and did a few laps. Will probably get on there again later. I pulled out a 1:42.715! I don't have a decent headset though. I ordered a Logitech G930 that should arrive tomorrow. Anyone going to be on later?

I had a blast practicing with some of you last night. Looking forward to the actual event. Remember to post up your car selections.
