If you have installed PrecisionX (Nvidia's overclocking/fan control utility), completely uninstall it and test again. Do not reinstall it yet.
Still crashing? Then try setting the AA in rFconfig to Level 4 (while there ensure you have picked DX9). In game, set textures to 4x.
Still crashing? In the NV Control Panel you should be good with defaults but I usually set power management to Prefer Maximum. Some people recommend Adaptive V-sync too to prevent the card from spazzing with the hundreds of fps in games like rFactor.
YMMV... just typing this fast while waiting for dinner.

I was wondering if anyone was brave enough to try and tame that beast...

Gents,I want to thank you all for coming out to my first hosted event. I had a blast. I think these cars are pretty even but I'll keep an eye on that Tii that Chris was killing us with.
Well done Chris with a pair of wins and Snappy with his win. I'll post up the next exhibition in a few days. I just want to do a little more testing.

Thanks for hosting Zed. I may have to change cars before the season starts if I can't figure out how to stop blowing engines.

Just to get back to you on this, Nothing worked, and the card was only putting out 18fps. I'm thinking the card was crap, it did it in all games, even the new ones. So I put one of the 460's back in, and all is fine, 120-180 fps in rF. What started this, was my second PCIe slot had a meltdown, The one with the expansion board that supported the other three 460's. So I figured might as well upgrade to one card for now. Well, I'm running one card, just not the one I wanted, and no more triples. I'm going to order another 650ti from new Egg, w/out the oc like the one I put in Willy's PC. It runs flawless, and his machine has lower specs than mine. I think the card was bad, because it would fluctuate power and frames even sitting idle on the desktop, and not just by small amounts.

Dan, if you still can shop, you should check out the 650ti Boost, which costs only a little more than the 650ti but it will run triples with one card. Happiness = Single Card Triple Screen Setups. Sent from my HTC One X using proboards

And that last race, I didn't do any killing...you guys killed your own cars by yourselves. I think the Tii is going to have a harder time on more technical tracks. It does seem to have a little better grunt down the straight (don't know if that was my tune), which I think was where I tried to capitalize and make most of my passes by setting up to get a good drive off onto the back straight. But I definitely noticed I would loose a bit of ground in the corners to the Alfas & Porsches. I've also got "a lot" of laps around Mid Ohio, so it was also a track I was very familiar with. The next event will be interesting. Then there is the whole "keeping it pointed in the right direction" thing.....

I'm trying to decide on the next exhibition venue and will finalize tonight. Trying to use an old track that works for these cars. The Nordscleif idea is dying with me because all of the old tracks I find have isses with off-track excursions. You wind up in the abiss and game over. I have one more track to test tonight and I'll decide. It's an old version of Oulton.
