If you can get all three set to 0-255 that's best. 0-255 is the PC standard, 16-235 is used for video (i.e., TV) Those numbers are the range of the signal (for example, 0 = black and 255 = white). More range is better. Though ultimately, do whatever you have to do to make all three monitors visually matching.

The resolution shouldn't have anything to do with this unless your monitor is kicking into some automatic mode if it detects 1080p. You know, I'm probably just over complicating things for you at this point since you're happy with the displays... however 0-255 should get you better shadow details which would be nice for night races. If you can set the HDMI monitor back to 0-255 then set the two DVI monitors also to 0-255 you should be rocking. If not, stick with what you have. Whatever you end up with head here afterwards to ensure you have the brightness/contrast right: gbr.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=help&thread=204&page=1

You're card at Newegg. www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125443It should support a second monitor no sweat. You should have 2 DVI ports and 1 HDMI port. I love using Newegg's site to check the spec sheets for computer parts...as a lot of places don't give you that info. I know my 560 will only support 2 monitors (single card)...hence my second card to be able to run 3. I believe some of the lastest ones (like Lawyer & F1) are the only Nvidia cards to be able to run 3 off 1 card.

Only need the one for all the next gen too, I manage on my lowly 2GB 670, full eye candy with every sim I have. The 660 is within 15% of the 670 in many games so should be able to handle older sims with ease and maybe just have to pull back a bit from ultra settings in the next gen. Fantomas go for the three, you'll love yourself for it :-)

Since your card supports the monitors you're 1/2 way there.
I'm not 100% sure this is true for dual monitors but for Nvidia cards and triple monitors, the additional monitors need to support a common resolution and sync polarity or the setup will default to whatever lower resolution matches. So to avoind issues, match the monitors exactly if possible, otherwise you'll have to check carefully (you usually find sync polarities for each resolution in the detailed monitor manual online).

Sorry if this is discussed earlier in the thread, but what is the most common size (among GBR'ers) of monitors? I am long ways from triples but it is in my overall sim-racing plan.

23 to 24 inch is the most common I believe.

I think a majority of us are running 23/4" monitors. Maybe a crazy bastard or 2 running 27". I believe someone is also using a 40" HD TV, though they are only running a single (at the moment).
