Ok, that's good to know Dale. It is just really odd the frame issues aren't effected much by changing the details or even single screen.

I spent a little more time tweaking things. If I set it to 15 visible cars, low shadows and shadow blur off, it runs much smoother (getting around 40-45 fps at the start). If I turn off the mirrors, it goes up to around 52. I can live with this for now until someone can hopefully figure out why. 25 fps was just too choppy to try to drive in traffic. I do keep scratching my head why single screen vs triple screen doesn't make much difference in FPS on my machine.
If we do end up running this mod as a series (hopefully), we likely wouldn't have more than 15 on track anyway. The updated version of this mod is amazing - sounds may be the best I've heard!
I also just updated the OP of this thread to point to the new version (1.2). I would suggest deleting your old version and installing it fresh.

Those lines in the Trace seem normal, whether they indicate an issue or if they are just a warning, I don't know.
Wiht 15 AI I get 70-80 fps with the cars on screen and 150-200 when I'm alone. I think these cars just have very high detail.

After doing some more testing, I found that by simply lowering the # of visible cars from 15 to 14, I gained almost 20 fps at the start. I'm now getting around 60 fps from the start. It goes to around 45 around the first couple corners as cars are weaving around, but stays smooth. After that, I'm in the 70's - 80's. I also have shadows set to low and blur off.
Man, these new physics seem very realistic and are a bit tougher to drive than the previous version. I'm sure with a good setup they will drive awesome.
Here is an interesting comment made by the developers gpfan in response to someone questioning the physics. Seems he put a lot of effort into the tires on this version.

Well that was more fun than I was expecting. I was just going to hop on the practice server and learn the new V8 track but I got on just as you guys were discussing this new mod. Once I got it installed and Hawks suggested changing the rF Config.exe to use DirectX9 instead of the auto setting, my frame rates jumped from 35 to 140+ which made a huge difference. Stuttering is really a bad thing in racing and I was not having a good time until I got that sorted. I really enjoyed just tooling around the track with you guys and driving with nothing to lose. Sheldon is a beast in these cars! I was having to learn the car and the track at the same time so I was just having fun doing that. I don't have too many mods for rfactor yet, but this one will get some use for sure.

I agree Jimmy - this mod is unreal. Was great to see 7 or 8 guys jump in to try it out. This mod will find a place at GBR sooner than later. It's too good not to.
And by the way, Sheldon IS a beast in these cars.

I also found this for anyone else having major performance issues with this mod. I seem to be one of the only ones that has. It's a little complicated to follow, but after going through it carefully, it seems to have improved frame rates and the look of the textures. www.mediafire.com/download/u279711752y6q53/Beemer+Ultimate+Config.rarAgain, if you aren't having issues with it, I would leave it be.

So can this tyre model be implemented to the V8s mate it was good to have TC disabled

I would assume it could, but only by someone who knew what they were doing. I sure wouldn't have a clue.

Someone here was having GMotor errors with this mod the other night on TS... run rFconfig.exe and ensure you have DX9 selected.

I got a response from the developer after posting about the issues I have been having with the SRPL shaders. Apparently I'm not the only one. Sounds like he may go ahead and makes some changes to the shaders in the near future (knock on wood).
I've got it working much better, but still get some stutters.

I would love to hit this mod up again on a friday night fun night. With school starting up this week my Friday nights are usually wide open pretty early. My wife is a teacher and by the end of the week she is wiped out. That leaves me with all kinds of free time on a Friday night, usually watching movies or playing video games. Just throwing it out there that I will be around most Friday nights for some racing around.

This mod will replace the GT series mod we are using now on Thursday nights for next season.
