Hey zed..based on your specs you supplied , my psu calculator figures you'd be good up to a 250GTS..that's the absolute max you could put in, and that puts it at 304W . minimum is would need with that card is 275. That would give you some good cuda cores to help with your apps as well. But honestly , if you can deal with it , it better of just saving the money...It going to be a year at least i think before we all go over to rf2...so that would give some time to save...you know donate blood , plasma, that sorta thing

Yeah, I think I will do that. Need to sell some junk I have laying around that I don't use, like my Valentine 1 (I don't drive fast on the road anymore, lol).

lol ya , having a wife n kid kinda does that to ya.... BTW i just tested rfactor on the laptop we got my mother in law for mothers day. it a quad core AMD A6 1.5 stock 2.4 turbo with built in 6250 ( thier apu line) and 8 gig of ddr3..It's an acer 15" (500 buck with ram upgrade) I'm hdmi out on laptop to a 23" Asus 1080p monitor.(150 after rebate). It gets 40 fps in dx9 with most stuff off but still looking respectable 60 fps on dx7 with almost everything on... But 500 bucks CAN build you a more then adequate system as apposed to a lap top. I just found it interesting the the A6 chip could play it so nice..lol

$500 is a lot of $$$$, but its not bad when you consider what you get. I paid a total of $500 last summer for dual 560tis, and I am fairly confident that one 680 alone will leave my dual 560tis in the dust. Its hard for me to justify paying this kind of $$$ to be on the cutting edge. Rather, my upgrade plan is to wait until a sweet spot card from the 600 series line, priced in the $200-$250 range, comes out in the next few years, when my 560tis are no longer sufficient to run the games I want to play.

Soon? It's out now! I could've ordered one yesterday. $500 is a steal for this card considering it replaces what would be two cards in a slightly less than high-end build. Like the man says... it's priced similar to two 560ti 448 core cards. Low power usage, quiet fans are a bonus. I'm going to stick with my GTX 275s and put some money aside for two of these bad boys later in the year once the price drops a little. My biggest perfomance issue right now is only having 896 MB VRAM. Two of these 680s in SLI with 2GB VRAM... woo!!! That's what I call the rFactor2/pCARS upgrade path. That said, I'll not rule out jumping on a blow-out deal on a pair of 580s or something.

One card supporting multiple monitors and one card supporting multiple monitors with good performance are two different animals. The card does look goo from the initial things I have seen on it but I still think 2 cards if your budget permits is a more solid choice.

And three cards is even better.

Generally more of anything is good unless it's bills or fat girls! (unless you are into fat girls and then it's all rainbows and kittens!)

Looks like the 680 is getting great reviews. PCMag.com gave it an editor's choice: www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2401953,00.asp

I stopped by Fry's on my way home and they actually had one of these in stock. Gonna plug this sucker in and see what it can do.
